Last nights Raw would probably have sucked a lot harder if the week before hadn't been so awful. It was sort of a relief to have a Raw that was just mediocre and kind of boring 8)

I was wondering whether it was just because last week (and pretty much the whole run up to SS) and after got progressively worse, meant this week was actually watchable.

I've stopped caring about Barrett. Evidently, creative did the same. I never really cared for him, lol. He is better than most of what WWE has though, so he should be used for more than what he is. Then again, WWE usually does the opposite of what they should *cough* Bray Wyatt *cough* Barrett is like Del Rio. He has all the tools and skills to be a success, but he utterly sucks at drawing interest. Main difference is Barrett gets his time, creative gets bored of him and he fades away. Del Rio you'd think it was in his contract that he must be main event no matter what people think of him. |

Actually, Barrett does very well at drawing interest. Twice in the past 18 months he's reached #4 in t-shirt sales (not overall merch), which is a lot more impressive than it sounds when you consider that it's virtually impossible to break into the Cena/Punk/Bryan triangle, and there are still guys like Ziggler and HHH who constantly have new shirts out and move them like gangbusters. Barrett's segment ratings were pretty good throughout the "Barrett Barrage" era as well.
People care about Wade Barrett. WWE doesn't take notice, for whatever reason.

Why can you not get it through your thick skull that every single time Lesnar sets foot in the ring, just like your fatboy hero Bray Wyatt, he proves MY point? Bring on the "pain." All it does is create more evidence of the fact that this shmuck doesn't deserve to be in the ring in any way, shape, or form. His fanbase shrinks every PPV he works, with only the least perceptive hanging on. If you want to be a desperate clinger, that's on you... but don't make yourself look like an even bigger fool by doing a victory dance while the dirt is being thrown on your grave. |
