That review is so terrible it's funny. It really is. It's basically several paragraphs of "there's too much action and not enough plot". Because the middle section of the book it's based on was loaded with exposition. Then again the reviewer hasn't read the book which is obvious by his assumption of what the third movie will be. I'm not saying that the critics don't have a right to complain but I've read about four negative reviews now and that's pretty much all that they say- there''s too much action, the film's pace is too fast. And I still don't think it's an underwater shot.

Also as for the review anybody could tell that he hasn't read the book. He even claims the third movie won't even be Tolkien, which is ridiculous.

I googled the movie... Found this That previous shot isn't underwater, For that to be underwater, it'd have to be extremely deep, based on his height and overall size in the above image Except he wouldn't be standing underwater, he'd be swimming. It's well known that Godzilla is a natural ocean dwelling creature, and that the ocean is where he is at his strongest. Ok then, Based on the size of him in my image, As Mike said, How on earth would the be able to light him up so much, with it being so dark in the ocean

While the "move logic" argument is a surprisingly cogent one, I still can't see the shot as being underwater. Look at the original picture, zoom it in (don't just click the image to open it but click it again to enlarge it), and tell me that those aren't large, rectangular buildings on the right side of the image. He's walking through a city. If you guys have another explanation for what those very skyscraper-like structures are, let me hear it.

I don't see what skyscraper like structures you're talking about...

In the Godzilla picture we've been debating there are several square / rectangular objects on the right side of the image, basically in the path of the monster and in front of his head. To me they look like pretty clearly defined man-made buildings with sides and roofs. I don't know how you're not seeing them.

I'm trying to but all I see are blurs and glares at the edge of the goggles.

I really can't see them. I'm trying to but all I see are blurs and glares at the edge of the goggles. Those just looks like glares to me... I don't see anything resembling an actual building... Also it's pretty obvious that the top corner is the sun...

As it would turn out I am wrong. The picture is actually that of the view a paratrooper jumping out of an airplane has of Godzilla.

If you honestly don't see the rectangular structure standing out from the bottom circle with its clearly defined sharp angles and shaded surfaces than I simply don't know how else I can point it out. As for the upper circle, you think that the entire mass of lines and shapes is the sun? Just because there's a light source of some kind on one side of the circle? And why would you be seeing the sun if this was underwater? I'm glad that you can finally see this as an above-ground shot but I don't understand why something else seems to have convinced you rather than the clues I've been pointing out in the picture itself.
