She took Holly to the monument and contemplated the possibility of traveling to another state but there's no evidence that she was "about to abandon" anybody. It's not like she emptied the bank account and had a car full of luggage.

We're 34 pages into this thread, the only reason I even give spoilers at this point is because I know that Soon hasn't watched the whole show yet. The only other person I know of who's expressed an interest in the show and hasn't seen it is Tom, and he doesn't post in here.

My buddy just watched the entire Dexter series a couple weeks ago and he all but hated it. He said that the stuff showing Dexter as a serial killer was interesting but that the entire remaining portion of the show (which was apparently a large part) was just generic, badly written "cop drama". I'd been reading for a while now that the show got really bad in its later seasons, that people hated the ending, and that the series only really got good during the John Lithgow season midway through.

Skylar has done bad things but I don't think that telling her husband to undo a reckless impulse purchase (a major purchase that he made without discussing it with her, a purchase that she didn't want him to make because she's trying to k eep him from out of prison) is necessarily one of them. This. Walt did a stupid, irresponsible thing and she expected him to man up and be a good Father by example instead of trying to be Jr's buddy. Mike is dead right on this one.

I know people hate her for certain things (some of which I agree with) but jeez, hating her because she dares to wish that she could get away from the life that her husband has trapped her in? I don't get it. ... and then Mike gets to be dead wrong. Walt didn't "trap" her. Her stupid decisions put her into that life. She could have walked away. Instead she hung around for the money.

For some reason it feels like Norris and Cranston lack chemistry with each other...

The lithgow season of dexter was amazing and my favorite part if it. The first i wanna say 5 season were really good. The later seasons were complete s*** though. The last season wasn't too bad. The main serial killer who looks like he could be ryan goslings brother was really good. He is young guy that needs to be in more things

Dexter strikes me as incredibly stupid. I can't bring myself to try to watch a show that wants me to believe that a sociopath can choose to victimize only "bad people."

I've never once even given consideration to watching Dexter.

Yeah, I really don't understand how you guys can make her the guilty party here. Everything that happened happened because of Walt's decisions. She stayed because she loved Walt and believed him when he said that he was trying to get out, didn't want to be forced to testify against him, and didn't want to throw Junior's life into upheaval (though I find the last reason to be the weakest). Regardless, she didn't stay because of the money. I have no idea where you're even getting that, it's made abundantly clear throughout the entire series that Skylar wants Walt to STOP producing meth.

I've never once even given consideration to watching Dexter. On a scale of one to ten (with ten being the highest) there were fleeting moments throughout Dexter's run where I managed to drum up enough excitement to reach level 2, maybe level 3. Never anything more than a blip of "huh, that could be interesting". From the sounds of it, I was right not to buy into the hype and saved myself several years of eventual frustration with yet another crap show. See also: Lost.

So Mike, what do you think of The Wire? I'm considering checking it out after I finish up BB.

So Mike, what do you think of The Wire? I'm considering checking it out after I finish up BB. I've been told that it was a phenomenal show, never really looked into it myself. I hear better things about The Sopranos. Literally not one person has ever told me that they didn't like that show, just like Breaking Bad.

I'm not sure if my library has The Sopranos, but I know they have The Wire. I'll have to check this Friday or Saturday.
