I loved Lionel too, but I have to disagree with you, WK. Lionel was great as Lionel and as a Luthor, but Rosenbaum is literally the only reason I continued on with the show. At first I hated the show. I don't like the guy that plays Kent, I hate the Lana Lang character, Chloe just irritates me, I did like the black friend (not racist, just memory loss kicking in and can't remember his name) but not a lot. Lex and Lionel (both as they are my two favorite characters so far, but I'm only on season 7, so no spoilers for new characters) are the two reasons and only two reasons I continued to watch the love triangle. Eventually I ended up liking every character in some way (except Lana Lang, I just can't stand her), but those two characters and some of the things they did and said and the actors' acting just pulled me in and let me somehow zone out the rest of the show for a few seasons. It wasn't around season 3 where I actually started liking Clark...

I did like Kent's dad and mother all the way through though, but they weren't really great to the point where I was always interested in what they were doing.

I love the Lois Lane character, but I'm not sure it was the best way to go. I also like the (I'm assuming) supergirl character so far, but I've only seen like 1 episode of season 7, so I can't even confirm if that's her yet.

But yeah, if it weren't for Rosenbaum (and Lionel, which I can't remember the actor's name for some reason right now), I honestly would've stopped watching the show a few episodes in. I was often times more interested in the arguments with the luthor family rather than the main point of the episodes, lol. I liked the nice guy Lex portrayal, and the dark side Lex portrayal.

However.....

Lionel (in my opinion) is the best actor (whomever plays him I mean) in the show. Rosenbaum's still my favorite though.


Does all of that make sense? It's 3:40 in the morning and I'm kind of tired, lol.

Yes, because him being a great actor is the reason I liked him, not.

You can't just be a great actor, you have to be great at the role you're playing, and that is what Michael Rosenbaum was. Whether you think so or not, or anybody else for that matter, I think Rosenbaum is the best Lex Luthor

That being said, I did say that this is purely my opinion, not fact. Lionel may have "out lex'd lex," but I enjoyed Rosenbaum's Lex over any Lex. I was never interested in the Lex character until Rosenbaum.

I've basically said my thoughts on the show.

The first like 3 seasons was very boring for me. After that it was pretty good, but I'm only on season 7 and have 8,9, and 10 to go still.


Smallville has absolutely nothing to do with Arrow. In fact, Flash and Oliver Queen both appear in Smallville eventually and neither one of them are the same in any way as they are with the Arrow series.

Smallvilles middle seasons were by far the strongest. You have to wade through the early seasons to understand the middle ones though.

Not exactly. Mark Rolston, Kevin Michael Richardson, and Jim Meskimen have all voiced Luthor more recently than S:tAS... and some goon named Brian Dobson, if you count "Krypto"

Oh you learn something new everyday. Kevin Michael Richardson seems lke a nice guy and is fairly talented. His take on the Joker was one of the few really good things about The Batman. I liked Krypto as a kid but I've come to realize how Incredibly stupid that show was even if you look at it for what it is. Did like they're potrayal of bat hound though
