Hip-Hop/Rock/Crappy Band and former wrestlers are to sue the Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation was filed Wednesday (January 8) in the Federal District Court of Detroit by the band's attorneys and for the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan. The suit claims that the U.S. government had made the “unwarranted and unlawful decision” to classify their fans, known as Juggalos as gang members. At the heart of the suit is a 2011 report by the FBI that says the fans are a "loosely organized hybrid gang." The inference is that the fans are violent and often break the law. (which is true for most of them) Four fans have also joined the lawsuit, according to The Guardian. Group members Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J want the FBI to retract the gang affiliation label, They believe the FBI report is a violation of their rights and constitutional right to associate with whoever they please. Shaggy 2 Dope issued the following statement during a press conference. Thoughts? Do they have a case?

They DO have a case, but given that it's the ICP were talking about here, they'll screw up.

They DO have a case, but given that it's the ICP were talking about here, they'll screw up. Although not every fan of theirs is a criminal and carry out criminal acts there are several groups within the "Juggalo" fan base that consider themselves to be a gang and act as a gang within their communities so do they really have a case? Isn't it easier to consider all of them as a gang rather than try and rule them into two groups and determine who go's into which category?

I don't understand how anyone can like them. I'm even more confused by this when I actually hear their music. It's awful...

As the examples show, common people are being denied access to things because they're classed as gang members, even though they're not.

You shouldn't look like a gang member lol. As the bible says, keep your body clean 'cuz it's Jehovah's temple.

I wouldn't say that, since we don't know all of the details. I would say that it sounds like they might have one though.

They should be smart enough to realize that there are gangs within the fan-base going by the same name as the fan-base goes by and using the same logos as well and they should realize that having that logo tattooed on them isn't the best of ideas.

The Conservative party in England. Oh. Learn something new everyday. It's hardly relevant. British politics are actually more screwed up than American politics.

It's hardly relevant. British politics are actually more screwed up than American politics. We're Number 1! At parodying ourselves? Yes, yes we are. I always think it's funny when other countries try to make fun of America. They'll never do it nearly as well as we make fun of ourselves.
