i love William Regal, but he won far too many matches for what i had in mind with this thread. i'm not just talking about guys who lost a lot, i'm talking about guys who barely got to display any offense in a match.

It's difficult to really think of any guys like that in the modern era. Ever since everybody became a "superstar" *eyeroll* We'd have to get into the Wayback Machine and talk about guys like Barry O and Matt Borne without clown makeup.

AWA had great jobbers. And by great, I mean dudes who were so bad that they clearly didn't know how to bump, and sometimes looked like they thought the fight was real (which was okay with some of the AWA guys, who were perfectly willing to beat the snot out of a guy in the ring). I can't remember any of their names, but watch the early undercard matches on the "classic" AWA TV show from ESPN. Wow.

From memory... how about the "legendary" George South (he almost beat Ric Flair once, you know!), Jim Powers...
Can we call Roma a jobber? I mean, he lost almost every televised match he ever had, but he was also a Horseman for like 10 minutes... Norman Smiley may be the greatest jobber of the 90's.
Special Delivery Jones... (that's right, I used his full name!)
Steve Lombardi/The Brooklyn Brawler...
Those two skinny, pale brothers from WCW come up on a lot of "best jobber" lists.

Actually, I change my answer to Curt Hawkins, though I don't know if you can even call him a jobber.....because he doesn't even do that......

None of these modern guys you're talking about are jobbers in the sense that muta is referencing. They're the modern day equivalent though.
(Except Wade Barrett. He is not a jobber by any stretch of the imagination)

Yeah, I know what Muta is referencing (Jobbers I like are Heenan and Brawler). Modern day jobbers for me would be Hawkins though.

They're enhancement talent. Or extras. The jobbers of the modern age were the guys Rybachulus would obliterate.
