Rumor has it that WWE Superstar Batista already has backstage heat with the wrestlers despite the fact he hasn't even returned yet, It all started after Del-Rio made comments about Batista on Monday Nights Old School RAW: Batista - "So I hear Alberto Del Rio is talking trash. Just one question... Who the hell is Alberto Del Rio?!!!" Del-Rio - "Really batista hahahaha" "I'm the one wining all the major titles while u were getting ur ass kick by your plumber (Vince lucero) See u at the rumble" "Like we say in #Mexico U can buy muscles but U can't buy Huevos cabron" Batista would then reply with the following Tweet that was to be deleted shortly after: "Seems 2 me that some C level stars in a B level star era have bought into their own hype. Don’t turn a work into a shoot. #realitycheck" Batistas Tweet is said to have been a hot topic backstage among other talent this week, with the feeling that he pretty much buried the entire locker room with one tweet. A few people even compared it to the time Triple H said The Undertaker was the only person worthy of wrestling him in the entire locker room. Thoughts? They're both right, they both suck. That's not the story here Mike, The story is that Batista called the entire current WWE Locker Room B-Level stars

It's an amazing pairing, I honestly don't think I've ever felt such pronounced apathy for a wrestler as I had for both of those guys in their respective eras. Maybe they're doing this shtick to try to coerce people into giving a s***.

Maybe they're doing this shtick to try to coerce people into giving a s***. I have no idea if it's a work or whatever, but I definitely think the pairing is weird. WWE knows that nobody north of the Rio Grande gives a crap about ADR, and Batista was only ever a moderate draw unless paired with someone of greater stature. To add to that, this is Batista's big return. It seems like they should have learned a lesson from the Lesnar debacle, but apparently not.

Batista can cut a decent enough "intense guy" promo, IMO. Not anything spectacular, but good enough. The problem is that good enough isn't good enough when you're working with someone who can't cut promos at all. Maybe they'll give Batista or ADR a mouthpiece. I hear Paul Heyman and $#@!ing Dutch Mantell are really Over with the fans for their ability to step all over talented wrestlers and making sure they never shine in any way by takign all of their mic time... so probably one of them 8) Probably Dutch though... Heyman already has one roided out charisma vacuum that's better at injuring people than he is at talking.

Batista can cut a decent enough promo. "Basketballs don't hold grudges!" "Where weapons are not only encouraged, they're allowed!"

Batista can cut a decent enough promo. "Basketballs don't hold grudges!" "Where weapons are not only encouraged, they're allowed!" I'm not familiar with the second one, but I'm perfectly willing to assume Batista said it because he sucks and it amuses me to do so. Regardless, I never said he wasn't known for the occasional slip of the tongue, I said he can cut a decent promo. Ric Flair is unquestionably one of the most well regarded promo guys in the business... and half of what he said never made sense, and he blatantly slipped up and used the wrong words or forgot where he was trying to go with things all the time. Don't even get me started on how many times Booker T (another well-regarded mic worker) said really, really stupid things. The question is not "do guys speaking extemporaneously on the microphone before live crowds occasionally screw up?" The question is "how do they handle those screw ups?" IMO, Batista for the most part powered through like a pro. His biggest limitation isn't that he fumbles the words, it's that most people didn't care much what he was saying in the first place. If you want to see an example of utter failure on the microphone, go no further than Sid Eudy. Not only did he consistently screw up his lines, he was stupid that when he realized he screwed up, he would get visibly shaken. He is the prototype for how not to cut a live promo.

i never had much opinion on batista, he was a jacked up guy with no passion for the business other than a payday (according to James E.), never seemed to try and assert the fact he does has some say in what happens in the ring. if not for certain friends he's made, how truly far would have made it?
