I don't mind him in an appropriate role. He's got enough charisma to be a "backstage character" or even a guy who wrestles occasionally but mostly participates in stories... I just think this whole "Kane needs to be a monster again" mentality is so old and so tired and so bereft of any understanding of where Kane is at in his career that it's ludicrous. have him "wrestle"? throat shots. big boot then a chokeslam? that's all we've seen from him. i never got the charismatic vibe off him. he showed more charisma as the no talk monster IMHO Right, I didn't really mean "wrestle"... I meant "show up to beat people up because within the narrative of the WWE, it's been established that he's a big scary dude who beats people up." I'll stand by his charisma though. He's a smart performer.

It wouldn't surprise me if Orton cheats to win the title match, then Cena wins the Rumble for the third time, crapping all over Austin's record, and then wins the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania. Cena > Austin all day, every day as far as I'm concerned (with the possible exception of dues-paying), so I'm fine with him destroying Austin's record. Austin shouldn't have that record anyway.

I agree, there's nothing left of the monster. That's why I think he works now as a backstage character. He's very articulate, he knows how to use words to get people going.

Is there some sort of rule against participating in the RR after a title match? I've never heard of it. I hate Austin too, but it'd still be disrespectful towards legends.

I hate Austin too, but it'd still be disrespectful towards legends. Cena is a Legend, and most records should be broken at some point. The only record in wrestling that should stand forever (or at least until there's someone REALLY worthy of breaking it) is Ric Flair's number of titles. Everything else is negotiable.

I didn't even know that "The Beast" was in wrestling that long, much less that he held a title that long.

I didn't even know that "The PIG" was in wrestling that long, much less that he held a title that long. fixed it he's been getting ri(t)ch on promoters for years, both pro wrestling and mma. hell some of his mma matches were bigger works than anything he did as a pro wrestler...

I have to agree 100% with WK here. I hate Ric Flair, but that record is THE record that should never be broken. Ric Flair deserves that record. I also believe that Kane's 11 man Royal Rumble elimination record should never be broken for 2 reasons: 1. I'm a nostalgic lover of Kane, I'll admit. 2. Kane never really got the push I think he deserved, so holding a record like that kind of (but not really) makes up for it in my opinion, lol. But, I also agree with what WK said earlier. Kane hasn't "wrestled" in a few years now. He should stay with WWE, but not as a competitor, more so as an angle worker. Somebody that makes feuds...well, better.

Just an idea, I'm watching Raw now...
Do you think HHH is gonna eliminate or play a role in the elimination of Punk at the Royal Rumble?

I wouldn't be surprised. They're obviously setting up a HHH/Punk thing (again), which is really stupid IMO. HHH needs to just stay out of the ring.
