I've never claimed Austin was the only offender in the world. There are plenty of massive egos in the world of professional wrestling, and I try to be objective in my assessment of them. There have been a lot of guys who, in their own mind, were God's gift to wrestling. Without even flexing a brain cell; Buddy Rogers, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, HBK, Bill Goldberg... even a few relative nobodies like Austin Aries have been under the mistaken impression that the wrestling world revolved around them. But aren't you a fan of Ric? Buddy Rogers was Ric's idol. You also forgot Scott Steiner and nowadays, Bret Hart. Well, Bret has developed some vile ego.... 1, Buddy Rogers is a mean and nasty guy 2. who listens to Steiner 3. Bret always had that ego, it just wasn't for public consumption..

I'm pretty sure Rogers is dead. 2. Anyone who wants a good laugh. 3. That makes sense. Btw, does the Great Muta speak English?

That's my point. I try to be objective. Despite being a fan, I can acknowledge that the man has a tremendous ego that has made him a poison in the industry at times. Hart... *sigh* I don't think that he "developed" it... sadly I think he always had that ego. I wouldn't put him in this category though. Hart doesn't seem to think he's God's gift to wrestling, he just seems to believe that every choice he's made and every action he's taken is justifiable, while holding a grudge over every perceived sleight against him.

Flair may idolize Rogers, but that doesn't make Rogers any better of a human being LOL As muta already noted... Buddy Rogers has a well-earned reputation for being a sack of crap.

Punk could have asked Wwe for some time off. He could have told Wwe he'll finish this angle with HHH than go away for a few months. I like Punk but he needs to grow up. Exactly. They would have given him EC off and he could have had him do promo's the whole way to his match with HHH. Punk sounds like he wants to be a part timer

I think Punk needs to just take some off and get back in control his emotions.........
he will be back.............I would be shocked if he joined another promotion (especially the shell of a show that TNA has become)

I think we all agree that taking time off is good for Punk. The disagreement is with how he chose to do it 8)

taking his ball and going home.........and knowing his personality, probably gave Trips an earful on the way out

I don't mind if he gave HHH a bunch of crap. WWE has been making awful decisions, and no matter how much of a bitch I think Punk is being, somebody needs to tell creative what's up.

I think Kevin Nash said it best: "The biggest Bret Hart mark is Bret Hart". The guy is very high on himself and doesn't seem to like admitting that he wants the spotlight and to work things in his favor as much as the next guy. he doesn't however, have an outwardly cocky demeanor about himself. He has the attitude of a man who knows that he's good because he put in the hard work to get there, not someone who's deserving of everything because he's "the man". In fact he's said that if he were to assess who is truly "The best there is, ever was, and ever will be" it would be Dynamite Kid, not himself.

Dynamite Kid best ever? Meh. One more area where Bret and I are just going to have to disagree.

That's a really mean thing to say about Billy Dee Williams. Billy Dee Williams is a stone cold pimp. He doesn't care about my opinions. He's got foxy ladies and a refrigerator full of Colt 45.

Dynamite Kid best ever? Meh. One more area where Bret and I are just going to have to disagree. He's definitely not the only one to have that opinion, during his prime Dynamite was phenomenal so I can see why there are a lot of people who love him. For my money, honestly, I'd have to think pretty hard about who makes the "total package" of wrestling greatness. Honestly Curt hennig always pops into my head pretty much immediately.
