Dynamite Kid was a solid worker but he had all of the charisma of Khali's sweatsock and a habit of brutalizing guys in the ring just because he could. My definition of "best" necessarily includes some element of being an entertainer, and a basic understanding of the fact that professional wrestling is not real. 8)

That's a really mean thing to say about Billy Dee Williams. Billy Dee Williams is a stone cold pimp. He doesn't care about my opinions. He's got foxy ladies and a refrigerator full of Colt 45. He rides giant rats!

Who wouldn't ride giant rats if they had giant rats sitting around?

I'm with you, that's why I describe it as the "total package".

total package is a tough one. it probably would be Henning. if there were a Wrestling Mount Rushmore, he wouldn't be on it, sadly.

I've never seen Owen Hart wrestle or do a promo, but most people say he's the total package.

Others may disagree, but I never found Owen to be particularly charismatic, and he certainly didn't have "the look."

I definitely believe that Owen could have become the total package, but he wasn't quite there yet. His wrestling was fantastic if a bit spot-like at times, and his talking needed some work, but it was clear that even at such a young age he was tremendously gifted. He's a top favorite of mine, his match against Bret at Wrestlemania 10 was outstanding.

I just hope two things (for my own selfish reasons. 1. that he stick this out til his contract is up 2. that he does a huge 4 hour RF shoot interview and runs his mouth about everything he don't like
prick or not he articulates his point very well in a very amusing way

One of my all time favorite workers. But yeah from everything I've read he was a TOTAL piece of human excrement. And these stories come from people who liked him. I don't think Punk is quite at that level.

Punk is a jerk, but he's not an addict.
I know that for some bizarre reason, you guys are all very defensive of addicts, but any expert in addiction will tell you that the only thing addicts truly care about is their addiction. That makes them a very special kind of jerk.

It's just in my mind (not your mind mind you) there's a difference between someone who smokes pot and someone who abuses what I consider to be harder drugs. I also don't feel that ones mistakes erases all other aspects or achievements of ones life

I also don't feel that ones mistakes erases all other aspects or achievements of ones life I'm not sure how one would draw any kind of reasonable line between pot and "hard" drugs, but regardless.... my point is not about mistakes, it's about how addiction causes people to behave. Dynamite Kid was addicted to things that get their hooks in much deeper than pot. Regardless, I wouldn't argue that a "mistake" (which I think is a wildly overgenerous description of addiction) erases achievement. If it did, we wouldn't be here discussing this. I would, however, argue that we as a culture are failing addicts by refusing to acknowledge that addiction impacts all other elements of the individual's life, and when we make it clear that we don't care if they're using as long as they're putting the ball in the hoop, churning out albums, or doing those nifty diving headbutts, we're enabling them as surely as if we were handing them the drugs ourselves.

And you say Austin thought he was god's gift I've never claimed Austin was the only offender in the world. There are plenty of massive egos in the world of professional wrestling, and I try to be objective in my assessment of them. There have been a lot of guys who, in their own mind, were God's gift to wrestling. Without even flexing a brain cell; Buddy Rogers, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, HBK, Bill Goldberg... even a few relative nobodies like Austin Aries have been under the mistaken impression that the wrestling world revolved around them. There was a reason for the " " .....

Less than 1 minute in, and I'm already calling BS. I don't for a second believe that Punk gives a rats ass that Bryan won't be at Wrestlemania. He's pissed that HE won't be at Wrestlemania
