Lashley wasn't successful... He did make it in that horrible EA game though. Actually, he was. Why did you say that? he actually wasn't. he fought a bunch of cans. and when he finally fought guys who wouldn't fold like a glovebox map, he got beat.

I hate beating up on the guy because I loved to watch him fight before the UFC, but Uriah Faber was very "successful"... until he stopped wading near the beach and tried swimming in the ocean. Then he got eaten by sharks.

Then he got eaten by sharks. no need to put quotations around successful, Uriah he was the main man in the biggest promotion that had division that catered to his weight. aside from title fights (which is the ultimate measuring stick) he's yet tow in, but he has been a serious threat to many 135ers. he's still a legit guy but at this point, i doubt he'll ever get a title shot again. lashley is a joke in mma..

I still like Punk but it's true that he could stand to be humbled a bit. Side note: I want to "knock some fools out and choke some dudes". I don't like Punk at all 8) I think he's a fantastic wrestler, but as a human being he strikes me as a self-absorbed, humorless prick. He's the Mirror Mirror X-Pac. I agree with your assertion but somehow still like the guy. I think I almost like him as a "story", not a person. I somehow want to cheer for him despite the fact that he sounds like a dick.

Since roughly the beginning of time. i need more of a reason than that to dislike someone.. In my case I suppose it depends entirely on how you define "disliking" someone, but broadly speaking, I don't. There's simply nothing about Punk whatsoever that makes me think "yep, I'd like to hang out with that guy." ... for one thing, despite what people might surmise from my demeanor around here, I love to laugh. I kind of suspect that the only time Punk cracks a smile is when an old lady falls down.

I would dislike somebody if they were an ass to me. Other than that, I think everybody's an ass in their own way, just some are more visible as an ass than others.
Unless they're directly an ass to me, I wouldn't dislike them.

I don't really care about Punk's opinions about wrestling LOL I've heard them a billion times before, and I think he's wrong on just about every important point 8)

Punk does nothing but run his mouth. I guarantee he couldn't possibly say anything about wrestling that would surprise me. I've been listening to his crap since before he came to WWE. All I have to say is; he's very lucky he's an incredible ring performer.

Actually, he was. Why did you say that? he actually wasn't. he fought a bunch of cans. and when he finally fought guys who wouldn't fold like a glovebox map, he got beat. You can be 10 and 2 out of 12 fights, and not be on the road to success. You can where he was at, he was successful. Him losing to socalled "guys who wouldn't fold", only would've brought him back to the drawing board. That doesn't mean he wasn't successful. If this was a video game, we can say he was successful at easy/normal. Because, honestly, nobody knew what he was gonna bring to the table. So why start off on a level where he might not be on? He was successfully where he was at.

Nevermind the fact that it was a local tournament, apparently scale doesn't matter, just win record. ... I'm definitely more successful than Lashley, because I beat a lot more than 10 guys...

Good for you. Though, like you've said, it doesn't mean anything since you haven't made a splash in the MMA world (not saying he did. Not really). On that note, Lashley would be better than you. So no. You're not more successful than Bobby Lashley.

BTW, being "better" does not equal being more successful. Not even in sports.

Thanks for the correction. But he is more successful than you though.
