 Woody Allen's adopted daughter has hit back at the award-winning director, after he denied molesting her when she was just seven-years-old. Dylan Farrow wrote publicly about the alleged abuse for the first time last weekend in an open letter to the New York Times. In it, she claimed the 78-year-old had abused her in an attic at the home of her mother Mia Farrow - who was Allen's partner at the time. But in his own piece for the same newspaper, Allen yesterday denied he had ever molested his adopted daughter, saying the scandal had been orchestrated by Mia Farrow after she discovered earlier that year that he was having an affair with her adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn from a previous partner. The Hollywood star began a relationship with Soon-Yi when she was about 19, and they married in 1997. At the time of the original allegations, a police investigation was carried out, but it did not result in any charges. He said: "Of course, I did not molest Dylan." "I loved [Dylan] and hope one day she will grasp how she has been cheated out of having a loving father and exploited by a mother more interested in her own festering anger than her daughter’s well-being." But Dylan Farrow immediately responded by saying: "Nothing he says or writes can change the truth." In a statement released through her spokesman, she said: "His op-ed is the latest rehash of the same legalese, distortions, and outright lies he has leveled at me for the past 20 years. "He insists my mother brought criminal charges — in fact, it was a pediatrician who reported the incident to the police based on my firsthand account. That said, she's cute enough I guess. Kind of plain to me but whatever, when you're a 78 year-old pedo who takes naked pictures of one adopted daughter and then turns around to molest the other I'm sure that any underage girl is cute. |

It meant you shouldn't be accusing someone of definitely molesting a child on the hearsay of his bitter ex wife and her kid. Mainly because of presumption of innocence. It should apply, always.
