And WWE supposedly wanting to revive the tag division in recent years. Could we have assumed Edge and Christian would of got back together, at least for one more run?

Edge was a fully established Main-Eventer and had he not retired probably still would be. It'd have been a waste to put him in a tag team with a Mid-carder no matter what their history is together.

I always figured it would be a one night only kind of deal if it would ever happen.
They weren't DX, and they were far from the characters they were in the nineties. Edge was a main eventer. Christian was on EC-friggin'-W.
There wasn't a proper way to throw them back to together without it being blatantly obvious that Edge was being anchored.
