I hated the original personally, but I know a lot like it, so I figured I'd post it :rotfl:

27 years? Good lord does that make me feel old.
Keaton = cool. Burton = cool. Beetlejuice = cool. But the idea of a sequel? Now? It just doesn't feel like a good idea.

Any sequel to a supposedly great movie usually isn't good unless it's set up for a sequel or has a big enough story.
Making 29 (exaggeration) Batman movies would be possible and making them all good could be possible because there's so many things they could base it off from.
Making a 2nd Beetlejuice? No.
Making a 2nd Wizard of Oz? No.
Making a sequel to One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest? No.

Though the film stood perfectly well on its own, I have to admit that the world of Beetlejuice was ripe for deeper exploration........three decades ago.

Has hollywood run out of ideas? Why are we revisiting something decades past for a sequel?

Yea, I liked the original, not to psyched about a sequel thought if it does happen.

Had I known it had already been revisited once already, I'd have found a movie with a title just as fun to say.

I don't believe I've ever seen that.
'Course I have barely even seen Flubber, I didn't even know Eddie Murphy was in it.

I'm confused wasn't the nutty professor a remake of a Jerry Lewis movie?

I'm confused wasn't the nutty professor a remake of a Jerry Lewis movie? Yeah, sorry, Robin Williams was in Flubber which was a remake of The Absent Minded Professor (with Fred McMurray). The Nutty Professor with Eddie Murphy was a remake of a Jerry Lewis movie (same name)
