Exactly.  WMMA just fight like it's a dog fight. And nobody really come in there with a smart strategy. I saw female fighters that could have easily won matches, but just go in and did silly things.

I don't think that's strictly true. I'm strictly a grappler... I hit like a girl, and some of the hardest fights I ever had were with strikers who had a reach advantage (and when you fight Heavyweight at only 5'9", pretty much everyone has a reach advantage...) It's hard to get inside on someone like that. Luckily, once you do, the fight is usually over pretty quickly.

but we're talking about an olympic bronze medalist in judo, who just cage fucked an olympic silver medalist in wrestling. all that added to the fact that roidborg likes to walk forward when (s)he strikes, makes my prediction pretty sound.

I don't claim to know anything about the specific people you're talking about, and it certainly seems like you know what you're talking about. I'm simply saying that, broadly speaking, close enough to strike is not necessarily the same thing as close enough to grapple, and it's not as easy to time a strike and grab a limb as it might seem, particularly after you've been punched in the face eight times 8)
