Warren Buffet can stuff it. I actually thought it was insightful until I found out he's had the option to be taxed more since he's been wealthy but hasn't taken it. So while he's rebuking the other wealthy he's basically saying "I'll agree to be taxed more if my rich friends follow suit" ... you can always choose to pay more taxes. Beyond that, I don't see where he or anyone else gets off saying that the wealthy aren't paying their fair share. They're not only paying their own share... they're paying the vast majority of the taxes for everyone while 40+% of the U.S. population pays no taxes at all. It's ridiculous that so many Americans simply believe that they are entitled to money that someone else earned.

Ironically they 40 percent thing cost Romney the election or at the very least didn't help him. The sad thing is I'm not even a republican and I agree there was truth in that remark

I mean if it was just about getting money then there are far better ways we could do that... For Example: www.thefiscaltimes.com/Articles/2010/11/23/Pork-Really-Stinks-1-8-Million-to-Study-Pig-OdorCut crap like that from federal spending.

JFK knew that, and he cut taxes accordingly. The fastest period of economic growth in the U.S. was from 1983 to 1988. The primary market force in that period? Regulation on businesses were relaxed, and the individual and corporate prime rates were slashed. As a result, entrepeneurship skyrocketed, employment increased, and revenue to the federal government increased dramatically. Don't be confused; the Democrat party strategists do not believe for a second that increased taxation of the so-called one percent and redistribution of wealth will bring about increased prosperity, nor is that their overall plan. A simple audit of the monies involved indicates that if you taxed the wealthiest Americans at 99%, the money would still run out in 15 years.

I was actually going to say that history has proven that higher taxes on the rich can hurt the economy in my original post but couldn't find the facts to back it up that my Government teacher from last year had told me(my class) about.

I'm intrigued that your teacher actually acknowledged that... but yes, when you look at the raw economic numbers, it's an unquestionable fact. Punitive taxation of the wealthy destroys the middle class.

... anyway, the new combined Arrow/Flash ads are really stupid. It's CW what do you expect Given that they're the network that makes and markets two of my favorite shows? More than an idiotic ad where Flash catches one of Arrow's... arrows...

So the first episode leaked and appearantly there is a grodd Easter egg ... and a MASSIVE reveal at the end. If Grodd shows up, I will mark out. Grodd is one of the coolest things to come out of the Silver Age. Super-intelligent talking gorilla with mind-control powers? Yes please.

I think the talking Gorillas are stupid, but whatever. DC Comics is not a "subtle" setting. If you want to roll your eyes and get all uppity about what is and isn't acceptable in a world of flying people with the strength to rip mountains out of the earth, read Marvel, or better yet some BS "indie" comic. They share your apparent worldview. Personally, I think there is room for great pulpy science-fiction like DC used to provide, talking gorillas and all, as well as more grounded storytelling, such as Marvel used to provide, within the comic book genre. That's why I was never overly partial to one company or the other, until recently.
