Takes about a half hour to get to the good stuff.
I know that I'm not part of the company nor did I actually meet with Jim Ross or anything like that but it's actually a neat, kind of eerie feeling to hear Jim Ross go into such detail about the nefarious 2K14 symposium event that was held for the game that I playtested. This feeling was followed by my chuckling at the excuse that he gave for Flair's drunken behavior- that he was drinking because he was upset about his son's death, something that had occurred oh, I don't know...only about half a year before the event.

Woo! Seriously, interesting interview... if only I could just make myself waste about an hour to watch it.

I didn't say that Ric should have gotten over his son's death in six months, I said that I laughed at JR's attempt to make it sound as if his son's death six months prior was the reason for getting hammered on that particular evening. It was a feeble attempt to excuse the kind of behavior that Flair has been known for all of his life. JR described it in a way that made it sound as Reid had died that same weekend, his comment was "the guy had just found his son dead of an overdose and wasn't himself". And yes, Ric's behavior at the event was tremendously selfish.

Anyway, really sad that J.R. was sticking up for Flair...

I can't even stand to listen to Jim Ross anymore. I used to think he really knew his stuff with the exception of his weird obsession with Stone Cold, but the more he talks, the more I think he's a giant dumbass

Opie and Anthony's more enjoyable interviews do involve guys in the wrestling business. (And this is coming from someone who enjoys most of the entertainment mediums people they interview are from) there's a good one with Jericho that's made a little better by the fact that Jericho takes a Christopher Reeve joke the wrong way because apparently his mother was in a wheelchair (I usually roll my eyes when people relate a joke to a personal experience as their mostly never worth getting too riled up over.
