We still need to solve the problem with conversations... I agree. Though, I wonder if it's usually like that or what. Maybe WK can clarify that for us and how to prevent it.

I didn't make the $#@!ing video guys, yeesh. I just thought it was kind of funny because the movies DO push the notion that Fury is a bad mofo, but he never actually DOES anything to prove it.
Also, I probably won't be around Saturday much, so I'll get the game started tomorrow and let people post around through the weekend 8)

He was obviously playing too much GTA V beforehand.

So it's safe to say that they won't be running ops or adventures during school hours then. I'm pretty sure Roleplaying waits for the players when needed. So, for instance, if for some reason it's your turn and we are waiting on your character, the game stops until you can post. Play by post REQUIRES a lot of patience. If the players involved can't be patient with one another, it doesn't work. The flip side of that is that if you're not going to be able to post for 3 or 4 days at a time, you owe it to the other players to say so and let them go on until you can get back (usually the GM will determine what your character is doing in the meantime). Bane seems to have a really good grasp of some RPing "etiquette" basics, so that's good at least 8) When it comes to combat, you don't take turns, not in this game. In Marvel Heroic you do have to "take turns" which is one reason the game bogs down... but in MURPG when an action scene starts, everyone can just go ahead and post their actions, it's up to the GM to sort out the order of action and everything. It's somewhat difficult to explain because we're playing online and everyone can see everyone else's posts, but if we were around a table you would all choose your actions at the same time, then reveal them at the same time, which inherently means that if (for instance) Bane and soon attack the same guy, but Bane knocks him out before soon's turn, soon's guy is just swatting an unconscious enemy this round 8) (It also means that if an enemy moves away and you're trying to punch them and haven't put any stones into Speed, Acrobatics, or some other "movement action" yourself, you're going to miss. If you're shooting a guy who acts before you and he ducks behind something that you can't shoot through... you miss. Etc etc etc)

I thought it was play by play, but now that I understand it's not, that makes everything a whole lot easier.

Are you suggesting that shooting planes with handguns is ineffective? Depends on the plane. The comment however was mostly directed at his choice of weapons.

That also helped a lot. I thought it was play by play, but now that I understand it's not, that makes everything a whole lot easier. Yep, one of the reasons MURPG is SO good for play-by-post is that all of the players simply post their panels in any order, and then the GM writes up a "summary" of what went down. It works very smoothly. ... which is fortunate because MURPG is otherwise one of the worst written RPGs ever made (which is why there are so many House Rules).

Wild World Wrestling. A professional wrestling RPG. I figured that much out from your earlier post. I meant to ask how it works, in general terms.

Wild World Wrestling. A professional wrestling RPG. I figured that much out from your earlier post. I meant to ask how it works, in general terms. It's dice based. Very basically, each player picks a maneuver for their turn, both guys roll, and the guy who rolls the highest gets to actually deliver his move for the "round." This goes back and forth until someone pins, submits, or something else depending on stips. It's a lot more fun than that description made it sound 8)

What I would probably do for the tutorial is run one "PPV" but the game is set up let you run an ongoing "promotion" where each player controls 3 or 4 different wrestlers. You can actually watch your character advance from curtain jerker to Main Event if you play long enough. Pretty cool stuff. You should have gotten an invite to the dropbox thing in email.

Never heard of it. WWW is based on the old WWE RPG that flopped several years go, but vastly improved.
