Captain America, at least as I remember, wasn't the one to make jokes. And plus, he has no idea who Jack Sparrow is. In Avengers Captain America made an inside joke/pun by saying "And Hulk. Smash" And Jack Sparrow is the captain from Pirates Of The Carribean. |

Smash" He wasn't joking. He was acknowledging that it wasn't worth trying to give Hulk any kind of tactical orders because Hulk wouldn't follow them anyway. If a baseball coach has a guy that only ever swings for the fences no matter what's right for the situation, is he "joking" if he tells that guy to go out to the plate and swing for the fences? |

It was a reference to Hulk's catchphrase from the older days of comic books. |
