I was looking for a writer's perspective on Deadpool (actually I was looking for a reasonably intelligent writer to DEFEND Deadpool, to test my thinking against), and came across this bit. I thought it was interesting, entertaining, and truthful.

I played his game when it first came out it's pretty bad but it does have a few funny moments. I agree I hate how his humor is just him making a pop culture reference or breaking the 4th wall(it's just lazy writing). If done right he could be a very funny but him breaking the 4th wall every 10 seconds ruins it for me.

Ryan Reynolds was good at being Deadpool. Talkative, talkative, and yeah, talkative. That's all that's required of a Deadpool role. However, if you hate the Origins' version of Deadpool that'd be acceptable since he's way different.
Also, I like Reynolds in just about every role I've seen him play.

Sure, he ran his mouth a lot, that's fine... but he didn't look at the screen and say something like "Hey, now I'm in movies too! CHIMICHANGA!" No, I hate Deadpool. He's entirely $#@!ing stupid. |
