"Your people?" Ah, I guess you are a great face for all the grumpy, pessimistic, lazy old people out there. Lazy? Son, I'm self-educated and can work my way around just about any subject as well as if not better than most people with degrees in that specific subject (unless that subject is a form of math). ... I'm also not pessimistic, I'm a realist, but I don't care all that much about the difference. Only being called an optimist would be an insult to me on that spectrum. Why is it that all the smart people I know can't do math!?

Get over it. Except I'm not. Right now I'm reading a book on Greek grammar that's spread out on my computer desk, writing a Bible study for the youth for tomorrow morning, feeding my baby, and showing you up for the fool you are.

I would love to be good at math, it's great for a lot of things. Unfortunately, higher maths elude me. I can understand them just fine as long as I'm looking at the data, but if I had to recall the proper function to use to solve a given equation (like you would have to, you know, in a math test...) it would fall apart quickly.

I completely understand. You're in denial and making up fictitious stories so that you can attempt to cover up a rather significant insecurity that you have.
