So... if the trailer used to market the game is really well done, the game is going to suck? Sure, that makes sense. I, too, hate when people spend money on trying to sell things. Those jerks. The fact that you're offended because the trailer doesn't just show a bunch of gameplay for one of the most critically acclaimed game series' of all time, one that doesn't really feature dynamic gameplay and therefore a gameplay trailer would be somewhat counter-productive, is a little silly man. Right... wanting to see the actual product, instead of some fluffed up hype video, that's just silly It's Civilization dude. It's going to play like every other Civilization game ever. At any rate, my point isn't that you should be super duper excited for this game because; the trailer. My point is being bothered by the trailer itself is a little strange 8) |

Your statement was that it wasn't a game based on nostalgia. Your defense of the game was based on nostalgia. You lose. Accept it. I accept that i lose. But you jump over the defense part. I stated that it brings back the difficulty and is better than some games that claim that they're the best when they clearly aren't i can say some names if ou want too. Like lets say... Minecraft, the new Rambo game and such. So i think this argument is either win/win or lose/lose. There's a Rambo game? *shakes head* Anyway, my point is that while you may like the Strider game, I would hardly consider it a high quality endeavor. It was an attempt (and a successful one, in your case at least) to generate nostalgia buys. Given that I didn't like the original Strider game, it's fair to assume that it wasn't marketed towards me in the first place 8) |

I accept that i lose. But you jump over the defense part. I stated that it brings back the difficulty and is better than some games that claim that they're the best when they clearly aren't i can say some names if ou want too. Like lets say... Minecraft, the new Rambo game and such. So i think this argument is either win/win or lose/lose. There's a Rambo game? *shakes head* Anyway, my point is that while you may like the Strider game, I would hardly consider it a high quality endeavor. I'm not home in well, anything. I don't know that much about the gaming industry to know the difference. I'm just a casual player, who still can make a "good" review. Because in the review i made on Strider i was like "i want to give this game 10/10", then i wrote down every problem i encountered with the game and tried to give fair points. That's why the game is 8/10 for me, because even though it can be very frustrating but somehow it still holds you back to play, and then you can do it. Its just a good feeling, and i relive my 5-7 years with SMB, because it was like this. But if i want to look at the games REAL value that doesn't include my nostalgia, Strider still stands a chance in the arcade games section. |
