What I mean is that when you hate dudes that much, becoming a lesbian makes sense. Of course that was only a movie role, but it ties in with what she has become in real life well. I'm not saying lesbians castrate dudes, but if you do castrate them out of hate, then you probably like chicks a lot. She 'castrated' him because he was a child predator. I'm pretty okay with castrating sexual predators.

You guys joke about this, but writers do tend to be in a "no win zone" with female characters, especially protagonists. Without a doubt, unless the writer completely sells out to the feminist crowd. And even then, they strongly lose male respect.

I don't hate women. I hate teenage girls.

*rubs temples* I don't want to get into the whole "how to be gay" thing because I'm tired of being called a bigot this week, but I don't think Ellen Page "became a Lesbian because she hates men." ... for the record though, if women DID become lesbians because they hated men, I'd be okay with that, because I don't want people that hate the other gender passing their genes on to the next generation. Nah. I'm pretty sure that's how it works. I hate everyone and I've never had sex.

Exactly. Even if they go all out with the "Wonder Bitch" treatment, you turn off your male audience. The comic book world figured this out a loooooong time ago

On a side note, there's a facebook trend where women don't shave their legs.

I'm pretty sure at the time of the movie she was legal... At least by Arkansas standards....

Is it just me, or does Brian's avatar look like she's having one of those moments where a friend says something creepy like "I have a shrine to you in my basement, next to my BDSM gear" and she's like "Haha, yeah, sure, I think I should leave now..."

That was probably the exact situation she was in.
Or, "Hey, chico!" in a horribly attempted Cuban accent
