The Shield mere hype as a stable and their time with the tag titles seem to completely overshadow the US title. When the US title is focused on and put on PPV, Ambrose consistently retain via DQ, which does nothing what so ever for Ambrose on his own or the belt.
Even now it's like the US title is just a after thought to Shield.
I think if on his own, Ambrose could make a name for himself with the US title. But right now while still part of The Shield, I think Ambrose should drop it to someone who can bring more relevance to it.
Sandow could probably do the US title right about now.
What you guys think. I think the US title is just lost right now.

You can't hurt something that has no prestige. Nobody has cared about the U.S. title in years. Ambrose is at least giving the Title some exposure, since the Shield usually works pretty near the top of the card.

Not really the last time the US title even meant something was 2006 when Booker T and Benoit feuded over it.

I see the title as being the downfall of The Shield & something to be on the line during a Triple Threat match.

The Shield isn't written with focus on the titles they hold. They're not written as champions. They're written as, well, the Shield.
They're above the title as a unit, but when it comes to individuals both the title and Ambrose seem a bit lost.

Ambrose and the shield lack direction, which is why I stated before I think they should break up. They're focus seems to be just running into matches and beating people up. While that's fun for a time, it gets stale.
If they were say gunning for the WWE and World Heavy championships. With say I guess Rollins going for a smaller title. I would think that would be more of a direction as they could focus on being on top of the WWE.
To me they just felt like a faction without focus.
