We've seen in numerous cases that NXT's creative is a lot better than WWE's. Whoever does well in NXT and gets promoted to the main shows, just loses their past credibility and floats around on the roster. Case in point, Xavier Woods, Big E & Emma.
Why is Emma paired with Santino, of all people?
So, my question is, why is WWE creative not as good as NXT's?

Knight, as I said, Big E and Emma's characters were utilised better by NXT Creative. In WWE though, Emma gets paired with Santino, by the WWE Creative.
That's what I meant.

Knight, as I said, Big E and Emma's characters were utilised better by NXT Creative. In WWE though, Emma gets paired with Santino, by the WWE Creative. That's what I meant. There are a huge number of problems with that statement. Your belief is that Big E. was "utilized better" but the reality is that when he moved up to the main roster, nobody cared. He absolutely flopped dead with the fans. You can blame creative, but I would suggest that his complete lack of wrestling ability and the fact that he's a charisma vacuum might be more to blame. As far as Emma... how is being paired with Santino bad for her? She was already playing a goofy character in NXT, how is being put with the most Over goofy character on the main roster bad for her, exactly? You don't like Santino, and that's fine, but denying his star power is kind of silly. It wasn't that long ago that his appearance was the highlight of the EC PPV. It's fair to say that he's far more Over than Emma... it might even be fair to say that he's more Over than any Diva on the Main Roster. He certainly sells more merchandise than anybody not named "AJ Lee." Ultimately... NXT is a very small pond with a viewership that is tiny compared to that of SD and RAW, with a very fluid roster and the ability to re-package characters who aren't working. I would hardly say that they've been "better" at utilizing their talent, I would instead suggest that they simply have a much easier job.

NXT is kinda like TNA in that they both have a small hard core fanbase but Raw and Smackdown are much bigger and have casual fans mixed in. NXT creative isn't "better " the arena is smaller and the crowd noise come off better. And chances are NXT fanbase is more hardcore(most causal fans I know don't even know what NXT is) anyway so they will likely be more involved. I didn't watch NXT when Big E was around so I don't how he was used. As for Emma her gimmick is pretty stupid anyways and pairing her with another comedy act that is over on the main roster makes sense. I know Cesaro was very over with the NXT crowd.

The NXT crowd is bizarre, in a good way. They seem to like a lot of hard hitting wrestling like you see in the indies (read; Cesaro and Ambrose before they started revamping their offense for WWE TV), but they're also willing to buy into goofy gimmicks much moreso than the WWE audience, which IMO is a good thing to a degree. Tyler Breeze would go nowhere in WWE, but he gets heat like crazy on NXT.
NXT is changing though, it's becoming more of a "third WWE show" and losing a lot of it's unique identity. It's still a lot more gimmick friendly (see; Adam Rose & The Ascension), but the demand for good wrestling is going away quickly.

The NXT audience is a college audience. And they buy into anything remotely entertaining. NXT is like an indy show in a good way. They focus on wrestling and honing in on the person's strengths rather than their weakness.
And Knight hit the nail on the head. NXT is losing it's uniqueness. It is about to become what ECW became.
