Well, now that E3's over, what are the games you guys are excited for the most? Mine are Metal Gear Solid V, Mortal Kombat X, and Batman: Arkham Knight. AC:U, DA:I, and Battlefront 3.

A bunch of stuff no one showed or talked about. I'm sure I'll pick up MKX at some point. Maybe MGS if I ever make it through the rest of the series. I'm actually more interested in the new Zelda than I usually am for Zelda, which is not at all. Smash Bros., I guess... uhhh... E3 sucks

From what I can tell, both games share a very basic common thread of exploring with no real direct goals. I wouldn't say they're the same game, but they aren't entirly different beasts either.

Minecraft has a space mod, so that game is completely pointless It in no way resembles mine craft. In No Man's Land the developer confirmed that you would collect resources and use these to build new things. He also confirmed that they would be avoiding things like quests and that the game would focus on exploration. To even further equate the two games the universes/worlds are created through artificial generation. Just because it has awesome graphics doesn't mean it's entirely different from Minecraft.

That doesn't make it mine craft.

Setting has a big difference with any game, so that I'm not going to even address that. Shooting down planes in the sky is not the same as hacking at zombies. There doesn't seem to be any, well nightfall is happening so out come the freaks. Minecraft is really about crafting your own house etc, and building grandiose monuments, yes there is exploration but that's not the point to mine craft. No Man's Sky seems to be more about exploration, than say a Minecraft does. The removal of quest doesn't make the game a builder. Technically speaking Minecraft is more akin to games like the sims or an animal crossing "yes" those games give you a goal but there isn't an overall narrative. On that point I would actually agree that they share seemingly that common theme. However at the end of the day, this game looks, feels, and seemingly does not play like a Minecraft.

Because I called it "Minecraft in space."

Someone's got to start the conversations. I'm a leader... more of a visionary really. I bring the people to me with my charisma. Like Hitler.
