So I was watching the Gamespot interview about No Man's Sky and stopped caring the moment the guy being interviewed start mocking things like quests and missions and how they were avoiding putting that stuff in their game. I've now crossed that game off my list. Welcome to indie games developers... Normally I'd be with you, but I'm still pissy about everything at E3, so screw it. Throw gaming convention out the window. Do something different and mock everything else. ... I'm still not buying your game though. Yeah thats indie Devs, they want to "Shake" the world. However I'm still very interested in this game. I just may not buy it for full price.

I refuse to feed the ego of these guys anymore. After a lifetime of playing table top RPGs, I'm sick of guys claiming that they've got some revolutionary new idea. First of all, it's never new, and more importantly, it's never good.

First of all, it's never new, and more importantly, it's never good. Who exactly are you talking about? You mentioned an indie developer who was bragging about how his game featured no quests, etc etc etc. I'm saying that there have been "visionaries" in the gaming market who spew the same nonsense since before video games were even a thing. In table top gaming, both RPGs and board games (I'm not a board game guy, but I know many of them), there have always been guys running around claiming that they've "perfected" or at least "advanced" the medium by doing away with the functional conceits of the genre. ... the fact that those conceits still exist over 4 decades later should tell you exactly h ow successful all of those attempts have been. I'm fed up with the whole thing.

While you guys sit here and mock EA like you nerds usually do I'm going to go find this guy and get him to combine Marvel Ultimate Alliance with Dragon Age: Origins along with a bunch of other combinations. This guy has some amazing powers and I must abuse them for my own enjoyment.

The game only included exactly what they said it would! How dare they not give me everything for free! What do these bastards think, that they should be able to make a profit on this stuff?"

I wasn't actually. I didn't even know about until after release. When I saw reviews for it... like a year after it came out... which consisted of a lot of 8s and 9s out of 10s

When I saw reviews for it... like a year after it came out... which consisted of a lot of 8s and 9s out of 10s So... they didn't properly advertise (in your opinion) a game that got a bunch of critical reviews, but nobody bought it? And that's reason to hate them? Sounds like they knew it was garbage and were caught off guard when, like so much other garbage, it ended up being overrated by the gaming press.

Why does Alienware even have a stream?
"We uh, make really really expensive computers. Like, REALLY expensive. Like, you could buy two normal computers and probably still take your girl out on a date for the price of one of our machines. They uh... run games and stuff. So uh... yeah. Buy some."
