Why does Alienware even have a stream? "We uh, make really really expensive computers. Like, REALLY expensive. Like, you could buy two normal computers and probably still take your girl out on a date for the price of one of our machines. They uh... run games and stuff. So uh... yeah. Buy some." Not to mention it'll be outdated within the year |

... w hy would I not just buy a PC? I think the idea is that this is a lot simpler. ^^^This. It's still very flawed and I doubt it will have staying power. Let's say you then become a PC Gamer, why wouldn't that person at that point just build his own PC that can do much more. |

To my understanding, building a PC is also much cheaper than buying a pre-built. |

I don't know, but I hear a lot of talk that is probably going to turn off the average console gamer, and this isn't going to appeal to PC gamers...

I don't know what the casual gamer is going to do. It'll be interesting to see, I don't think this is going to be a big thing. Also I know that the PC Gamer has no need for this.

I don't really get the premise of the Steambox. It's a console that's really just an expensive PC. Who exactly are they targeting with this? It has all the cons of a PC and some of the cons of a console. I'm not sure why anyone would get it...

Think of it as an expensive console with the ability to legally mod the device itself, and the ability to play a strange variety of games. |
