And when King shows up as playable what will be the excuse then? He wasn't in 13, wasn't in 14 to my knowledge, plus that was THQ and not 2K. Why would you assume Lawler would appear when he hasn't been in since like 2011 or WWE 12, whichever it was? Cole and Lawler will be non-playable commentators. WWE 12 is the game you're talking about. And they had JBL as a playable character in 08, while he was on the commentators team.

Oh man, how could I have forgotten? We need a minimum of two Foleys. They should definitely include one character for each of Cena's different shirts. Legend Prototype Cena!

Hasn't the 360 proven to be the superior method for WWE games anyway? Two years ago they said the 360 had fewer problems. Last year it was supposedly the PS3 that had fewer problems. Personally, I think that it's all anecdotal and the reality is that it's a wash between the two. well in wwe13 ps3 had a bunch of freezing problems. I remember cause i had that version it was the freeze issue if you used custom arenas and custom logos on the universe schedule which caused the game to freeze everytime you tried to edit a match. seems the issue migrated to the 360 on 2k14 lol

I hope things aren't hampered due to the fact that the team is split on two games. [/quote][/p]
i can understand wanting to see next gen stuf but to say you only want to see next gen stuff sounds a bit selfish and self centered to me.. again using my own opinions. it's just not fair to sit there and throw a tantrum cause someone just wants the game to be made on a console that only 33% of the world can afford...

Don't laugh, that's actually a serious business decision.
As of now, we're still transitioning from the last gen to this current gen, so there should be far less PS4/XBox One units sold than there are PS3/360's. While Raven's post in from the eyes of a guy who doesn't have a next gen console, 2K is thinking on a very similar line from a business standpoint. That's why there have been several big releases for the last gen consoles over the past year or so in GTA V and Assassin's Creed Black Flag, and that so many games are still being developed with the last generation in mind.

You shouldn't have mentioned Black Flag since the very next game in the franchise is going to be a next gen exclusive.

At this point, it would be absolutely idiotic for 2K to release the next game in any of their sports franchises, including WWE, Next Gen only. First of all, the notion that the game is hindered by being developed for multiple systems is BS. They develop it on the current gen (what we for some reason continue to call "Next Gen") and retrofit it to the previous, so there is no such thing as "being held back by" the previous generation. Instead, the people who buy for the previous generation get a stripped down, weaker version of the original.
Second of all, there are many, many times more PS3's and 360s than 4's and Bones. Limiting their market to JUST the Next Gen owners would be financial suicide. Ubisoft can do so with AC because they're not putting out a game every single year, and their profit margins are much higher.

Ubisoft owns Assassins's Creed. 2K pays for the privilege of making games based on someone else's properties.

Yeah, I honestly didn't realize that they had popped out all of those games on a yearly basis.

And yeah i didn't get a 360 till 2009 not cause i couldn't afford one but because of all the horror stories i heard about the RROD plus i prefer for there to be a plethora of games available that interest me before committing to a new system. All of my friends (in the real world) feel the same exact way. My best friend went and got a ps4 only because his wife got it for him for his birthday. I'm pretty sure that if he was going to get it he was going to wait. I have no problem at all with the games coming out on ps4/x1 but if they were to stop publishing on 360/ps3 this year i pretty much would just be done with wwe games until 2016 since that's when i plan on getting one which is quicker than i waited for my first 360. I just think raven is in a way being selfish. He sees the direction that THQ was going and is constantly trying to put that on 2K which you can't do. Especially when the circumstances are totally different. Yukes isn't the sole developer anymore, Cory and Aubrey are gone so their opinions don't matter anymore. Which is what raven kept trying to blame on the whole 30 years mode last year.. But at the end of the day it is what it is.. everyone is entitled to their opinion but i mean hell NBA2k is still releasing on last gen and you don't see a bunch of people crying over that...

It'll likely be on both as their hasn't been enough cross over to next gen as of yet. Not Nintendo of course, because **** Nintendo.
