Triple H (all WWE gimmicks), The Rock, John Cena (both gimmicks), Scott Hall/Razor Ramon , Kevin Nash/Diesel, Shawn Michaels, earlier Kane, The Undertaker (all WWE gimmicks), The Big Show/The Giant, Batista, Stone Cold, Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Scott Steiner, X-Pac/123 kidd, Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Sting (crow gimmick), Lex Luger, Owen Hart, Bret Hart, The British Bulldog, Goldberg, Rey Mysterio and so on.
But if I only have to pick 1, that 1 would be the 1st 1 I've named.

Sure, that's a matter of personal taste 8) "solid" as in every one of the men on my list were involved in matches that helped improve wrestling angles and the companies that employed them. they were all excellent workers and all can look back at their matches and be proud of what they did. some may disagree, but that's fine. people have been disagreeing with me my whole life. i've grown to love that people disagree with me. if that makes me a "hipster" of any kind..pass me a pair of purple skinny jeans ans a pair of stunna shades.. |

Thousands of wrestlers have had "tons of great matches." That doesn't qualify them as "best ever" material. Scott Hall used to have amazing matches, and unquestionably changed the face of the business (3 times in his career, one could argue). I still wouldn't list him as one of the best.
Your Muta thing I get. He's a colorful cartoon character who was absolutely gonzo in the ring (though he should have retired a decade ago). The rest of 'em? Pack of wanna-bes

I've seen Misawa, I've seen KENTA. There was a time when I actually cared about looking into these "great" workers from Japan. Then I realized that the standard for being "great" from Japan was hitting a bunch of ridiculous spots and working extremely stiff, and I stopped caring what fans of Japanese wrestling think is great.
