Phil Robertson of "Duck Dynasty" has been suspended from A&E for anti-gay comments, and classing gays in with terrorists and bestiality. GLAAD(?) responded by saying that he only said his opinion, and that classing homosexuals like that is against the beliefs of most Christians.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Going to get an interview with a guy who talks constantly about his love of hunting and then opening the article with an attack on his love of hunting is a pretty clear indicator of something that was meant from the start to be a smear. The fact that Phil expressed the same beliefs that the family has always expressed, unflinchingly so, obviously came as no surprise, so I can only surmise that the GQ "reporter" was simply fishing for something more to be offended by. Phil, being a straight shooter, walked right into the trap, and A&E, being the classy outfit that they are, suspended him for it. Because, you know, we TOTES value free speech and variety of thought in this country. As long as it's the right speech and the approved form of thought (don't even get me started on the fact that literally HALF of the country share Phil's beliefs, so not only do we not give two $#@!s about free speech, we also live with a media that presents a false image of the issue and live under the Tyranny of the Minority, which is exactly what the founding fathers did not want to happen.) |

Knight is right in every sense in his above statement. They knew what his answer was going to be before he even said it. My mother loves that show (I personally don't care for it but that's another conversation altogether) and is always talking about how religious and Christian the family is so it doesn't surprise me in the least of his comments and I don't even watch the show. Obviously the interviewer knew what he was going to say and it was done deliberately. I also want to reiterate Knight's comments that literally half of the country doesn't support gay marriage (myself included) and the fact that this guy is taking this much heat for sharing an opinion with half of the country is absurd. They also act as if they are protecting a gay person's rights for pulling Phil off of the show but they've basically crapped all over Phil's own rights by punishing him for his freedom of speech.
