Nevada has officially banned the use of Testosterone Replacement Therapy and will no longer be giving fighters exemptions.

What's that?... Seriously, Im clueless when it comes to that stuff. it's basically a way to cheat. using trt to offset your own bodies inability to produce natural testosterone. there have been many guys who have used it within guidelines, but others would abuse it. guys who needed it for legit medical purposes, would overdo it in order to gain an edge. high and low testosterone can make all the difference in the world when a guy is training for a fight. if a fighter has lower natural testosterone they can't train as long or as hard. using therapy eliminates that issue. |

i made 2 threads with caps, because they were exasperating stories. the METAMORIS thread i made with caps because METAMORIS actually spells it's names with all caps. |

Did they ban it entirely, or just for athletic competition? Because banning it entirely is really messed up. Thousands of men really need TRT for legitimate medical reasons.

Thousands of men really need TRT for legitimate medical reasons. this is for competition. that's the hot button in all this. there are guys who need it not just for competition, but for quality of life. Henderson, who by all accounts has lived a very clean life, 2 time olympian..all that. he needs it for real health issue. Vitor Belfort, "needs" it because of all the steroids he took when he was a teenager. it's a very tricky deal. from what i've read, guys who have had a history of pissing dirty will not be allowed an exemption. this puts Antonio Silva in a weird spot because he does need it but was revealed to have elevated "T" which was outside of the allowance. this is a good step forward for a cleaner sport, but you're right what about the guys who are in compliance..? |
