In 2012, a YouTube uploader by the name of Krispy Kreme uploaded a video for a song entitled: The Baddest. Seen here:
This video, soon after being published, gained much popularity. Everyone wanted to see what seemed like an autistic, southern white guy that was attempting to rap. With a few set-backs, which included having to change his stage name from Krispy Kreme to Froggy Fresh, this uploader, to this day, continues to upload music.
But, as time went on, the truth was slowly revealed. Fresh, real name Tyler Cassidy, is a guy from Flint, Michigan that graduated with a GPA nearing 4.0, that had a dream to be a successful rapper. His first attempts at breaking into the business were unnoticed by seemingly everyone & Cassidy knew that in order to be successful, he needed to change. This is when he came up with the idea of pretending to be a guy that was seemingly autistic & a horrible rapper. This caught on & remains to be Cassidy's persona today. So, a near-genius that was unsuccessful at his first attempts of rapping, is now a successful rapper going by the name of Froggy Fresh. How bad is it when a guy has to continually put on an act just to stay relevant?
Here is a video of Cassidy while acting as Froggy Fresh:
Here is Cassidy on the Tosh.0 show doing an interview in his Froggy Fresh persona:
This is a video of Cassidy where he is possibly regretting putting on this facade for so long, wishing that he stayed his true self, yet the act continued:
Now, for the real Tyler Cassidy, the follwing songs were created by Cassidy portraying his true self:
Sure, he gained mainstream attention from people like Mac Miller (seen below), but at what price?
