Wait does multiple characters share 1 bank account?

So character 2 in my GTA Online should of had over 100,000.    So today I switched back to character 1.   I sold one of my cars, then put a Sabre Turbo in my garage.    I took it and customized it then switched back to character 2.    After delivering a car to Simian I see character 2 is now down to 16,000.


What the hell is this?    Are you really telling me that 2 separate characters does NOT have 2 separate bank accounts, but instead shares 1 conjoint one?    This is stupid.

If they share the bank account, then why not share the rank as well.    If I'm level 109 on character 1, then why not be level 109 on character 2?     We already share bank account balance between both characters.


Who in Rockstar thought 1 conjoint bank account between 2 different characters was a good idea.


Just great, now I basically got to start from scratch to save up for that Stinger GT.

The bank account doesn't belong to the character, It belongs to you.

Im surprised you're just now noticing this.

Haven't you noticed that when you pay money into the bank account it has your PSN Name and not your characters name?

I never thought nothing over it, you character name is pretty much meaningless. It doesn't show in free roam, doesn't show in lobby's, your PSN shows everywhere.

To me, if you have 2 characters they should either (a) be completely separate of each other. So different bank accounts, ranks, etc, or (b) fully the same. So same rank, same bank, etc.

Not this reset some stuff stuff but leave other stuff tied with your main character crap. Make it all or nothing, basically.

It's a pretty stupid idea yeah.

But it's not difficult to manage the funds between two characters really, Doesn't take much getting used to either
