I've heard Captain America is crap which is a shame because it's about the only one of the pre-Avengers movies that I'm interested to see. They have rednecks in Jersey? Personally, I enjoyed it. The crap Avengers prequel for me is the Hulk. |

Thor was the worst Avengers movie. By far.
"But Tedd, blah blah I want Loki up my ass blah blah" Yes. The performance was great. But the entire rest of the movie was utter crap. The costuming was terrible, every other actor was terrible, the dialogue (including Loki's) was just plain awful, the plot was full of holes and completely uncompelling, it had a bunch of nods to the comic book continuity but crapped all over it at the same time... worst super hero movie in ages.
Captain America was far superior in every way. Not a great movie, but certainly better by far than Thor, which should have been titled THOR (Now with 100% less gods, magic, and fun)

said the star wars fan...? Are you serious? The costumes in the original Star Wars Trilogy are largely considered some of the best costuming work in the history of film. They went out and found battered cloth to use rather than "stage aging" it. They spent hours meticulously considering color schemes and uniforms. The only piece of "bad" costuming in all three movies is the camouflaged trench coat Solo wears in Return of the Jedi, and that was a compromise because they didn't want him to be out of his usual color scheme, but it wouldn't make sense for him to sneak around the jungle in blacks, blues, and browns. Conversely, the costuming in the first Thor movie has been universally acknowledged to be comically bad. They looked like they had wandered onto the set from a RenFest. Not even the really conscientious costumers, either... the "armor" was blatantly foam, plastic, and cloth. Look at the picture that I posted. Observe the details. It's just silly. |

I'm a fan of three Star Wars movies, not six. The OT and the PT share virtually no stylistic similarities, so it's not as if you can draw a parallel between the two in terms of costuming. I could defend the costuming in the PT, if I felt like it (in fact I think one of them won an Academy Award for it...), but I simply neither care nor feel obligated to do so. |

norbit won an academy award too...as did sandra bullock.. Norbit won an Academy Award for what? I find that the ones given for technical achievement (like costuming) tend to be dead on.
