Overall neither console really pulls out ahead in the exclusives department so far, with all of the exclusives so far having been mediocre or just plain bad with the exception of indie game Resogun(For the PS4) and the franchise continuation Forza Motorsport 5(Xbox One). Of course, Resogun's score can be attributed to the merciful indie game effect on critics, and Forza's attributed to the beloved franchise it is apart of.

Hmm, so ten games ranked at about 7 or below and what...three were able to manage an 8? Not to beat a dead horse but wow, that next generation sure continues to look impressive.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. Most of this generation's early big games (At least for me) will be coming early next year or so. Infamous 3, Kingdom Hearts 3, Battlefront 3.
Holy crap, 3 3s. Half-Life 3 confirmed.

In all fairness the best software almost always comes later in the system's lifestyle (the general rule is that you never pay more for less than when buying the console at launch) and there have been previous systems that didn't have any one major "killer app" to move the console (PS2 comes to mind) but still, like with so many other aspects of this next generation, I would have expected better than this.

On the contrary, I was pissed that I couldn't afford the 360 at launch because I was desperate to play Oblivion and Dead Rising. Oblivion was also on PC wasn't it? |

Yes but at that time I didn't have a gaming PC and it didn't appear on the PS3 until a year later. Regarding consoles, it was exclusive throughout the first year of the 360's life.

... and if you give that idiotic indie game the score it actually deserves, One dominates 8)

Yeah, right now it's hard to compare the scores when the PS4 has half as many exclusives as the Xbone.
The point of this thread is that the exclusives for the most part have been pretty terrible on both sides.
