Ah, good on you. The first season is good (I find the first three episodes to be a perfect start for the show and consider episode 3 to be the show's first masterpiece) but it was cut short and didn't end quite properly due to the writer's strike of 2008. Fortunately they didn't miss a beat and were able to get right back into the swing of things with season 2, adding several classics that always appear on "best of" lists. Important new characters are introduced, existing characters grow and gain complexity, and pivotal events begin to take place. Which one was the third one? What was the basic plot of that episode? "And the Bag's in the River" {Breaking Bad episode 3 spoiler} It's the one where Walt struggles with whether he should (or can) kill the surviving drug dealer.
It begins with them cleaning the mess left from the dissolved body in episode 2 as Walter flashes back to a chemistry study that he was doing with a young woman to explore the elements that make up a human body. By the end of the episode Walt has bonded with the drug dealer and spoken with him as a human being but finds that he has no choice and strangles him with a bicycle lock. Afterwards he flashes back to the chemistry conversation and, as he looks at the makeup of the human body, says "something is missing". The woman responds "What about the soul?"
I thought it was brilliant.

I thought it was brilliant. {Breaking Bad episode 3 spoiler} Ah right, I remember that one. Strangely enough while I loved it, I never really understood why Walter White suddenly was like "WAITA SECOND! LET ME GRAB THESE PIECES OF THIS PLATE AND PIECE THEM ALL TOGETHER!" And yet another problem I had with that, when Walter first falls and the plate crashes, you can see the guy rising to his feet, and when Walter gets up the guy is still in the same position standing up. ALSO none of the plate pieces flew close enough for the guy to grab.

I made my wife mad because I told her that you can't melt a body in your bathtub like that without destroying your house.

Knight cares little for spoilers!
As for the plate, he only happened to think about it when he threw something in the garbage and saw the jagged pieces in there. Walt's a smart guy, he put the pieces together (literally I guess, but I meant figuratively). I just went back and checked out the dropped plate scene and though it's a little hard to gauge distance there's a shot of Crazy 8 after the plate lands where it looks to me like the closest pieces are no more than a few feet from him, close enough that he could have scooped up a piece with a thrown shoe held by the lace or something similar to that. I see what you mean but I think they probably shot the pieces not to look TOO close or the audience would immediately jump to something that's meant to be a surprise.

You'll be seeing a little more of Tuco which is all I'm going to say. Did you know that Tuco was in Training Day? Oh absolutely. I recognized him immediately. No one forgets the dude who "had his shit....PUUUUUUSSSHHHHHEDD IN BRAH, BIG TIME!!!!!!!" What I didn't realize, however, was that he was in Under Siege.

According to Cinema Sins, Tuco isn't crazy, the guy who plays him is (based on him also being nuts in Training Day)

But then again, in Under Siege, he was heroic and actually relatively quiet. Maybe he flipped sometime in the mid 90s.
They did say on the commentary (or podcast, don't recall) that during a fight scene the actor who plays Tuco was concerned about hurting the person he was fighting, but I think they're obligated to say that in order to cover up the fact that he actually killed several members of the cast and crew.

I forgot to mention that last night I happened to walk into my dad's living room where his girlfriend was watching tv. It was an episode of "Criminal Minds" which I paid pretty much no attention to because, well, it was Criminal Minds. Anyway I've never chosen to watch more than five minutes of the show because it's corny and stupid and this episode- which features a bunch of devil-worshiping emo killer teenagers partying in the woods- was no different. The show went to commercial just as they arrested the lead emo- who was standing in some sort of devilish pose with a stupid hammy devilish look on his face- and I thought "This is just the cheesiest crap I've ever seen. It was only when they showed the emo kid again and he happened to turn his head just the right way and say his lines in just the right fashion that I realized- holy shit- that's our pal Jesse!!!!!

Should get a shirt saying... "I'm the one who KNOCKS!" I've seen that one (well, one of likely several) but I didn't like the style, it's the words written in kind of a silly pattern with a cartoonish face of Walt next to them. In general I prefer shirts that don't have quotes on them anyway, I like the imagery to quietly speak for itself. I have a Game of Thrones shirt that says "Winter is Coming" which would have been fine but underneath they make sure to also add GAME OF THRONES. Because my fellow fans, the ones who will appreciate the shirt, will need to be told what the dialogue is from.

Aaron Paul is probably going to play Eddie Chambers in the Dartk Tower movies. He'll do a great job.
