He may have started that way, and I wouldn't argue that he didn't still have more growing to do, but the character definitely matured. His relationship with Walter (and in particular the things he had to do during this relationship) changed him, he was clearly a follower who was easily manipulated but who came to develop a greater sense of determination and personal identity when everything was said and done. Right but we were talking about why people didn't like him initially. Or, I thought we were. Wasn't that what muta said?

I guess I just meant in general, I can see why some people didn't like him at first (though I did)- they're entitled to still dislike him by the end but it kind of surprises me that they would.

I never really developed any liking for him, though I disliked him less. I still think he was more or less along for the ride Maybe I'm too hard on people, but at some point I expect a person to step up and take control of their own life.

It may have occurred too late for you to like him but I think that what you describe is exactly what's happening in his final shot.

How would we know? That was the end of the story

This is completely unrelated to anything, but I like how on these forums we don't have to wait a minute to post, lol.

How would we know? That was the end of the story We don't for sure, but it's the feeling I took from it. If you didn't get the impression that Jesse was a changed man and that he was elated to be finished and looking forward to making changes in his life, then nothing I say is going to convince you anyway. This is completely unrelated to anything, but I like how on these forums we don't have to wait a minute to post, lol. I like almost every aspect of this forum more than the 2K ones. Except for maybe the fucking ten post per page crap.

Except for maybe the f***ing ten post per page crap. I really wish I could change that, but I can't really please everybody since literally everybody asks for something different. I have however thought about going 20, an easy medium of what is generally asked for.

It would just be nice if the site gave the option, that's one good thing the others did. I despise having to click the "next page" button every 90 seconds and going back and forth across several pages looking for a post that could just as easily have been on the current screen but was more than likely at the bottom of the previous one.

Back to Jesse Dicussion.
Getting his Girlfriend to force Walt into giving the money was very uncool.

That was all her. He was reluctant to get aggressive with Walter until she heard how much he was owed. At that point, being the manipulator that she was, she saw dollar signs and persuaded Jesse to let her get involved. While it WAS Jesse's money to do what he wanted with, it was clear that Walt cared about him and didn't want to enable his self-destruction (especially with Jane, herself a codependent enabler, right there self-destructing with him).

Now I see why Walt didn't save her.

It's interesting how people react to that scene differently. When I was showing that episode to my dad and his girlfriend they both reacted to that part in opposite ways, making their comment at almost the exact same second. She said "That's horrible" and he said "that problem's taken care of".

I have to say that as a Christian, I disagree with Walt's decision, but as a human being, I totally understand Walt's decision. His concern was Jesse... in a sense, he was literally choosing between her life and (at least potentially) his, and Walt chose his friend.

I agree with both assertions. While I couldn't bring myself to willingly sit there and allow a stranger to die, if I felt that this person was capable of killing someone that I cared about it would make the choice a lot more difficult. Of course in the eyes of the law that's known as negligent homicide, but that's another story.
It should be remembered that Walt also had other, more personal reasons for getting her out of the picture, but most indications before and after that moment in the series made it pretty clear that his first concern- and the reason he was even at Jane's side to begin with- was Jesse.

I guess Walt is a Romatic.

Can't say that there haven't been times when I wanted the partner of one of my loved ones to choke to death.

So I'm assuming this is the unofficial official tv discussion. I started watching walking dead. I'm on season 2 already. Lauren Cohan so hot.
I suddenly want to learn how to shoot a bow now
