Yes also strangely accurate to the plot. Face Off consistently appears on "best of" lists, it's a critical and audience favorite. I myself have said that season 4 is the best series finale whereas season 5 is the best series epilogue. I was sad to see Gus go, but he went with one of the most memorable exits of all time. I remember first watching it and thinking "WHAT THE FUCK HOW DID HE SURVIVE THAT WHAT KIND OF BULLSH Ohhhhhhhhhhhh. That's fucking awesome".
Only 16 more to go, including what's considered by the overwhelming majority of viewers (and the creator of the show himself) to be the single best episode of the entire series. True or not, there's not a single clunker among them. I consider season 5 (and technically season 6, though I view them as a single entity) to be essentially perfect.

There's a season 6?

Technically yes. There are only 16 episodes left but they were aired in two 8-episode arcs a year apart. Supposedly the crew asked for the extra time to fully develop the final episodes to their satisfaction. As a result the last season is also split into two dvd sets.

But yeah I thought the same thing when I saw Gus walk out of there fine, then they changed the camera angle and my jaw dropped right about the same time Gus did.

For just a split second it didn't even register, I thought "Is that supposed to be a Terminator skull under his skin? Wait, OH SHIT YO!"
Yeah, good stuff. I've seen people online with that image as a tattoo.

The way they lead up to his death was perfect too.

You mean the events that take place throughout the episode or the actual scenes just before it happens? I ask because I thought that the scene with him in the parking lot- the slow zoom on his face and his eventual "last walk" into the hospital- was masterful.
I particularly loved the music. The whole scene stayed with me for a long time.

I meant precisely that, his walk into the nursery home.
The music, the atmosphere, everything was spot on. You knew right then and there that it was over for Gus and he wouldn't be leaving the nursery home alive.

Also I almost agree with you that season 4 would have been the perfect finale to the series.
Almost. If it hadn't been for that last zoom in on the plant I feel like it would have been absolutely perfect.

You knew right then and there that it was over for Gus and he wouldn't be leaving the nursery home alive. I've still got all the episodes on my laptop and I've been known to occasionally go back and replay that scene. While I love the whole show and there are plenty of moments, scenes and entire episodes that I completely love, that one's a standout. Why did the shot of the plant disappoint you?

It didn't disappoint me, it just kept season 4 from having a perfect series finale before the "epilogue."

Aaron Paul and Cranston seem like really cool guys in real life. Cranston is hilarious when he wants to be funny- very witty and sarcastic- yet when he discusses actually performing it's kind of startling how seriously he takes his craft. The same things can be said for Dean Norris. Paul, meanwhile, seems like the nicest, friendliest, most down to Earth goof around. Personally I think Malcolm in the middle shows the real brilliance of Cranston. Also my favorite moment is the stay out of my territory scene. It's just so awesome. The presence, the performance, and the song

That was another good moment. End of a season 2 episode I think, though I don't remember the song.
I caught a bunch of Malcolm episodes back when the show was still on the air but I didn't follow it regularly. I don't know why, I generally liked what I saw. I just downloaded the whole series to give it another look, primarily thanks to Cranston.

Everyone on the show is really good at what they do. Also Jeremy renner is extra in the first episode. Tell me if you see him

He is? I didn't know that and I've seen it twice. I'd have to go back and see if I spot him.
