So just got back from seeing this with the girlfriend. This was a movie that tried to hard to remind you about lord of the rings, and stretched things out to make a third movie.
Spoilers abound so you know stop reading if you don't want to know.
Things that were awesome:
Spider scene. This was great it showed how Bilbo had come along and how the ring was starting to taint him.
Smaug and Bilbo portion was cool I enjoyed their exchange.
Things that were awful:
Khili and an elf woman building romance.
Legolas well coming all the way to Lake town.
Smaug making references to the ring and to Sauron.
Just so many things. Any thoughts on those that went to see it?
