I'm still not really convinced all of that was a work. I'm not saying it wasn't, it's entirely possible, but I put it at like 50/50. The WWE isn't acknowledging Punk and Lee's relationship on screen right now (since Punk is a babyface and Lee is a heel), so it wouldn't make sense... on the other hand, BECAUSE Punk is a babyface and Lee is a heel, the whole "Punk is a nice guy with lots of women friends and Lee is a psycho girlfriend type" thing does make sense. In all, it's just incredibly stupid, but hey... if it is a work, you have to give WWE credit. They've got a bunch of supposed men sitting around discussing a storyline involving a Diva without using the words "boobs" or "crappy wrestler", so it's a win for them. i still think it's a work, there is plenty of time before WM to make it a thing... |

I got to see Bad News Barrett in action for the first time. He also made a surprisingly good "I've got bad news" line directed towards Indiana.
"Indianapolis, I've got some goods news and some bad news. The good news is that Payton Manning is having his best season right now. The bad news is that he is doing so with the Denver Broncos" (Or whatever team he works for now. I forgot.)

Bad news Barrett is a terrible gimmick, name what ever the hell it is. It is bad, but I just thought that the one scenario actually turned out well. If only he could be consistently half decent... His match was pretty boring, not much excitement. But the catching Bullhammer looked awesome on Tyson Kidd.

why does he need a gimmick, aren't they reserved for guys with no talent? not the biggest fan of Wade, but he doesn't need some silly gimmick..

Daniel Bryan has a gimmick. CM Punk has a gimmick. John Cena has a gimmick. Randy Orton has a gimmick. They have just been around long enough to smooth their gimmicks out and not make their characters so black and white.

That's exactly what I mean. She's talented but she's a female so I guess they figure that if the two possible roles of eye candy and romantic interest won't work they'll just have her fart. Anything but push her as "Nattie Neidhart: great female wrestler", it's a concept they don't know how to reconcile. No no, the difference is that you're blaming the writers. I'm blaming the fans. IMO, the writers have repeatedly tried to put Nattie Over. Per the Haas Theory, there is NOTHING "wrestling" fans hate more than wrestling. If you're a truly great wrestler, it's a guarantee that you will have to work twice as hard to get Over as anyone else. |

It always seemed to me like Nattie and AJ were the only ones who could get any kind of reaction from the audience.
By the way, I just watched the Divas Battle Royal from Tribute to the Troops 2013. Eva Marie eliminated Natalya. I now feel the overwhelming urge to hunt Vince down and force him to watch Shockmaster's debut on loop for the rest of eternity.

I'd buy that... if not for the fact that Punk became more famous when he started cutting the exact same promo every single week. Wrestling fans hate wrestling above all else, but they also hate being challenged to hear something new and different instead of a bunch of catch phrases that they can shout. That's why Sandow has cut his promo time from several minutes to however long it takes him to walk from the stage to the ring 8) |

Also, Damien Sandow was comedic gold. I can definantly see Soon's love for him. And Wild's love for him. Me and Wild are probably his biggest fans on this forum... Also you spelled definitely wrong. EVERYONE spells "definitely" wrong. I have to admit, it drives me nuts. Nothing personal to anyone here, it's just that it's the most misspelled word I think I've ever seen and I have no idea why this is. |
