Sean Connery was in a dozen Bond movies, Indiana Jones, The Rock, The Hunt for Red October, and won an Oscar for The Untouchables. Surely you guys have seen him in at least one of those. I'd give him a 7, it's pretty tough for him to seem like anything but himself in most of his roles but he's a fun and charming actor.
Ian McKellen gets a 9, I love his Gandalf but I also enjoyed his work in Apt Pupil and Gods and Monsters.
Brad Pitt gets an 8. When he used to still be an actor and not a world ambassador of hippie love and tenderness he was occasionally capable of being great. He was good in Seven and excellent in Kalifornia, my two favorite films of his.
I'd give The Rock a 6. He's actually a surprisingly natural and charismatic actor but I haven't really seem him in anything where I can buy that he's a different character and not "The Rock in a movie".
Emma Watson is a filthy mubdlood.

1. 9, purely because he is Magneto. 2. 7, eh, why not. 3. 8, because she is a goddess in human form. 4. 5, GTFO. Angelina is way better. 5. 8, I didn't see too many of his Bond films but I liked him in Indiana Jones.

Not so much because of the actor's personality in the character (though that does account for some of it) but more so because I generally hate movies from the 60s.

I rarely enjoy any movie that is made before the 70s. I can't stand the old old James Bond films. The oldest movie that I have watched and somehow enjoyed is... dangit I never remember movie titles. It's the one with Norman Bates and his hotel... yeah you probably know now. I prefer movies from the '80s and '90s because they had a good balance of old/new with good quality, and depending on the movie, CG. I do like quite a few from the '70s but that decade, for the most part, was much like the '60s in the style of films. I absolutely hate movies from 2000 onward, because they are too new, they are too graphical.

I've seen movies much earlier than the 60s, some of my favorites were actually made in the 50s or 30s. It's just sixties movies in general. Actually that whole decade in general. Almost everything to come out of it (with the exception of the music) was cheesy, campy, corny, and just overall dopey looking. Everyone tells me that I'd love the original Star Trek series and I've honestly tried to get into it but the stiff, stagey look, the soft bright glowy cinematography and the hammy acting completely turn me off. I've found that this is true of almost everything from the 60s that I've seen. I hate it.
Again, that's one of the reasons why I don't like the old Bond movies. They're hammy and ugly film to me. Though Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was an entertaining film, I'm surprised you haven't seen that one Gramps.

Sean Connery was the best part about that one movie that shall not be named. Despite that it still led to Sean's early retirement because of how much it sucked.

The Rock I'll give a 7.... Especially after seeing "Gridiron Gang" in which he plays neither a comedy or an action role
