I can't really get into the original AC (still have yet to play any others except BH, which wasn't bad, but I only played for a few minutes. That being said, the story confused the hell out of me......but it also didn't help that my brothers were playing AC when I wasn't and wouldn't stop playing on my profile, so I was missing half of the story anyways. May be what ruined that game for me (other than the repetitiveness). The original AC is a total drag. Repetitive, boring... the neat little "assassination tricks' lose their charm very quickly. ACII (and it's sequels Brotherhood and Revelations) are much improved, and add a lot of depth. I haven't played ACIII, but IV provided a very streamlined experience and despite some very disappointing elements (like sailing... oh man does that get dull...), it is overall a ton of fun. Except the $#@!ing non-ending. That was just lame.

Wait, IV's sailing is bad? Strange, that was one of III's best new features.

Just can't. I'm glad that it's not just me that thinks it was very repetitive though (and I did like it at first, just only for a short while).

Wait, IV's sailing is bad? Strange, that was one of III's best features. I thought it was new in IV honestly. You would've thought that it'd get better in a game that was based around pirates (wasn't it about pirates?).

... so what you're saying is that it made plenty of sense to you until they revealed what was actually going on all along? You must love Christopher Nolan movies. I was talking about the Star Child. Which is what the whole Trilogy is really about. Furthermore, the entire plot (of the Trilogy overall) revolves around a nonsensical unending cycle of creation, enslavement, and destruction... to say nothing of the fact that there are multiple groups whose only real motivation seems to be to get in Shepherd's way, despite having nothing to gain from doing so. They are effectively jerkasses for the sake of being jerkasses. The AC metaplot is actually much more grounded. A bunch of god-like aliens passed themselves off as actual Gods in the ancient world, leaving behind a bunch of fragments of their technology as they killed one another off in a war. A group of humans (that would become the Templars) appointed themselves the guardians of said technology and, by dint of their "superior enlightenment", the most fit to rule over humanity. This led to an inevitable clash with a group espousing an (admittedly idiotic and completely inexplicable) "freedom" philosophy, and resulted in repeated disruptions of the Templar's plans. It's really not that tricky. The big bugaboo in the AC series, as far as I'm concerned, is that the Assassin's Code is utterly ridiculous, and even they don't believe it, clearly, based on the Assassin NPC's CONSTANT moralizing about how power should be used for the greater good, etc, making them effectively nothing more than a more hypocritical version of the Templars 8)

You spend a lot of time in IV staring at open water and dodging weather LOL It's not fun 8) Sea-going combat is also a pain in the ass, until you get the proper ship upgrades. Trust me, unlocking fast travel points becomes something you're anxious to do.
Don't let that dissuade you though... ACIV is far and away the best playing of the AC series that I've tried, and the "hero" is in some ways easier to get interested in as the player because he doesn't have any high ideals... he wants to be rich and live a life of ease, and you can readily get into his boots.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions:
Concept:
The concept of the game I thought was amazing. It wasn't just one world that was ending (well, it kind of was, but you know what I mean), it was 4 dimensions/times of the world ending. Having 4 spider-men teaming up in a video game I thought and still do think was amazing. I give concept of the game a 9.0 to be honest. Everything was amazing.
Graphics:
Although not for everybody, I liked the comic book feel to the game....especially since it's a game based on a comic book...or many. I also loved how every dimension looked different in ways. Made it so the graphics didn't really get old. Although, sometimes it did hurt my eyes, and I don't know why. I give Graphics an 8.0 in the end.
Sound:
The soundtrack I felt was amazing. Even better, the voice overs were fantastic. Although, there were somethings I didn't like and/or glitched for me and no sound came out at all when some people were talking. Thankfully there were subtitles, but they don't help when it comes to sound. I give it an 8.0 here as well.
Playability/Entertainment/Replay Value:
*NOTE*(All combined into one paragraph, but 3 different scores)*NOTE*
The most disappointing part of the game. Don't get me wrong, I loved the gameplay. It got EXTREMELY repetitive though. In fact, so repetitive that I put the game on the sidelines for more than a year, because it got boring after awhile. Just finished it today though. Good thing is that the difficulties are pretty balanced on easy, normal, and hard. You don't really need any of the power ups though (seriously, I didn't buy any except Character upgrades so I could get health boosts and alternative attires), so buying special combos is useless unless you just like the looks of them. I usually love button mashing games too, but I literally just tapped Triangle and Circle the whole game unless you needed to do something else. All in all, I have to give the game a 7.0 for playability though and a 9.0 for Entertainment and a 3.0 for replay value.
That would leave my opinion on the game to be an average of:
7.3

I loved Shattered Dimensions. Probably my favorite Spidey game since the PS1 game with Carnage Doc Ock.

I loved Shattered Dimensions. Probably my favorite Spidey game since the PS1 game with Carnage Doc Ock. By far one of the best Spidey games. I liked Web of Shadows I believe though on the PS3. Also, I may or may not have liked Ultimate Spider-man. I can't remember, lol. I also want to try: TASM TASM 2 (when it comes out) Edge of Time (Despite the reception)

I recommend the PS1 Spidey game. It's pretty poor by today's standards but it's also still a lot of fun.

Also I've never been able to beat Carnage Doc Ock...
Which is sad since I've had the game for almost 10 years now.

Carnage just tends to be a pain no matter what game he's in. I remember him being insanely difficult in Ultimate Spider-Man.

Actually, come to think of it, isn't Carnage a woman in the Ultimate 'verse? I think his host there is Gwen Stacy.
