Following the unification of the World and WWE Titles at WWE Tables, Ladders, & Chairs in December, the current word is that the secondary titles are going to be merged as well. There was reportedly a lot of talk backstage that a unification match between Intercontinental champion Big E Langston and United States champion Dean Ambrose will take place at the Elimination Chamber.
The two previously teased a potential match in an article for WWE.com.
We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.

Sadly, Langston is going to win and become the first unified midcard champion in years. That is so lame that I may have to watch TNA

I predict that the following will happen in that match
Ref will get knocked down
Reigns will come in for the spear on Big-E
Big-E will move thus making Reigns spear Ambrose
Big-E wins...
Further fuel to the Shield split fire

I predict that the following will happen in that match Ref will get knocked down Reigns will come in for the spear on Big-E Big-E will move thus making Reigns spear Ambrose Big-E wins... Further fuel to the Shield split fire Reigns will then raise Big E's hand in victory and the two will form a tag team, because unless the talent gets screwed over as much as possible it isn't WWE enough. |

I realized this a while ago. It's WWE's fault that they don't have enough big names. They have the roster, just not the big names. |

you do realize how thin the roster is, don't you? I realized this a while ago. It's WWE's fault that they don't have enough big names. They have the roster, just not the big names. there is a good deal of talent, just..not given the time to get over as much as they need. but, yes i agree it's their own fault... |

They'll make Langston the backbone of the team and make Reigns look weak while they are partners. Langston will then get Reign's much deserved push. |

Not all that surprising, it probably should happen as they don't have the star power to do a brand split, and they midcard belts are more like props anyway.
