Well, actually calling somebody an asshole is always an opinion...... No it's not.

As far as I know, Pac has more or less cleaned up (though the fact that he defends his use of pot kind of suggests that he'd never be able to stay on the roster anyway), and I think he's still got enough gas in the tank that he could really help younger guys develop their ring psychology.
Remember; X-Pac is the guy who saved Chris Jericho's WWE career. Like it or lump it.

Remember; X-Pac is the guy who saved Chris Jericho's WWE career. Like it or lump it. Unfortunately ring psychology is a lost art in wrestling these days. It seems now the idea is everyone goes in hits all of their moves fans get to snap their cell phone pics of all their wrestler favorite moves match ends predictably. Call me old fashion but I like when the match told a story. I liked when a finishing move would well finish a guy. Back in the day if Jake the snake hit you with the DDT you were done, lights out, no getting up. Maybe just maybe if you were somebody like Hogan on a Wrestlemania night you could muster up the strength to kick out of a finisher. Now days Chris Jericho will have Jobby McJobber in the Walls of Jericho and he'll find the strength to crawl to the ropes, and kick out of the code breaker all in a matter of three minutes. Don't get me wrong I like watching my favorite wrestlers deliver their best moves as much as the next guy. What I liked much better than that is not being sure what may or may not happen on a given night. I like the Idea of the story I'm being asked to believe is well actually believable.

Unfortunately ring psychology is a lost art in wrestling these days. For the most part, yep. It's really sad.

I really don't know why anyone hates on Sean Waltman. Not only is he an extremely polite, humble, honest and straightforward person behind the scenes, he's also an excellent performer. He's probably the wrestler I'd most like to hang out and bullshit with, and considering that we indulge in completely opposite levels of pot consumption I think that's really saying something. Seriously, I don't get what there is to hate about the guy.

i've seen Andre in person twice..it was so heartbreaking to watch.. I saw Andre several times in the late 80s, when I was a kid. It was near the end of his career so he was slow, clumsy, and terrible in the ring. It's a shame I couldn't have seen him in his younger years, when he was slow, clumsy, and terrible in the ring.

Seriously, I don't get what there is to hate about the guy. I agree. I have watched at least three of his shoots I can think of, and probably 20 more where other people talk about him. The worst thing I think I have ever heard anyone say about him is that he takes some ribs a little too far sometimes. In his shoots he seems like an awesome humble guy. And his in ring ability speaks for itself.

I would never call Waltman "humble." He's soft-spoken. That doesn't make him humble. I also don't think he's someone I'd like to hang out with, since he's a hard partying guy who defends his own drug abuse and seems about as deep as a bottlecap.
That said, I do think he got an undeservedly bad reputation based on his association with The Kliq (actually, I think they ALL got undeservedly bad reputations, except for Michaels and Nash on the backstage douchery side, and Hall on the being an unreliable assnuggest side), and particularly due to his appearance on that idiotic reality show with Chyna, where the treatment of their relationship was entirely one-sided.

I would also dispute the notion that Andre was "slow" or "clumsy" before his condition really started to take a toll on him. He wasn't the fastest guy in the world, certainly, but he moved well enough for a big guy and he actually had a pretty good understanding of wrestling fundamentals.
... of course, that was a time when you couldn't get into the wrestling industry at all without a good understanding of fundamentals. Unlike today.

I would have loved to go see a live event where Andre was present, just to see how huge he really was. I don't believe video will do him justice in how huge the man was. To see him live for those that got too, I would imagine was a great moment.
