So what do you predict will happen at the Royal Rumble PPV?
Who will win the Rumble match? Who will be the strongest competitor? Will The Shield break up?

I predict that the Shield will not break up at RR but something will happen with The Shield that leads to their split on either this coming RAW or the week after

I think it's entirely plausible that Reigns could win. It'll split him from the Shield, turn him face, give them a match at EC, then get Reigns against Orton at Wrestlemania. |

Sting will definitely not be in the Rumble. Aside from all of the usual reasons, there's also the 90 day clause. He just appeared on TNA last week, there's no way he could appear in WWE this soon.
That said, it's kind of silly to suggest that there is nobody other than Batista who is poised to win this thing. Ziggler and Sandow have both had delayed pushes recently, Reigns (or any other member of the Shield, but Reigns is most likely) makes obvious sense as part of the ongoing downfall of the group. Bryan could win. Sheamus could do the old "return and win".... there are PLENTY of likely candidates.
... I don't see Batista as one of them at all. They're clearly setting him up for a rivalry with ADR, who is nowhere near a title shot. I fully expect Batista to come out, eliminate a few people,and then end up getting eliminated in some weaselly way by ADR, furthering the rivalry.

The dirtsheets recieved news (Likely intentionally supplied by WWE) that Bryan couldn't be in the Rumble due to a concussion. |

It's the fact that he isn't scheduled to be in it. Maybe Seto and me are wrong, or maybe we're right. We'll see tomorrow. ... there is no comprehensive list of people who are in the Rumble. The longest "confirmed" list I found only had like 15 guys, which means that something close to half the participants aren't known yet. Why on Earth would you assume that being currently unannounced is the same thing as "not appearing?" |
