LOL this, so this. Right now I can guarantee there are some WWE execs whose job it is to figure out how to transfer some of Bryan's mojo to Cena. LOL, I remember when they tried to pull that with Punk and Cena, having it go from Punk vs Lauranitis to Cena vs Laurinaitis. "Look! He's a rebel! Buy his shirts!" This has been an ongoing thing for the company for years. When it was obvious Hogan was losing momentum, they tried to put guys who had more around him to bolster him. They did a similar thing with Austin; when he would flounder, they'd have him job out a couple of top guys (one face and one heel) at the same time, or put him next to Big Show or Undertaker for a quick rub.

Reminds me of Flair talking about a young Shane Douglass in one of those legend roundtable shows... "There was all kinds of buzz about how Over this kid was, but the truth is he was only ever Over with promoters, he couldn't draw flies in an outhouse." the one where he buried, Hall, Ferrara, Russo was very uncomfortable

Cena moves the ratings and sell the shirts I think it's safe to say he is more over. If that statement were accurate, it would be safe to say. Unfortunately for you, Bryan is definitely the ratings King for WWE right now, and Cena should be selling A LOT more t-shirts since he gets a new one every 3 months... and as it stands, he's barely outselling Bryan. Don't be silly doesn't have that many shirts Well......... fuck

WWE has a boner for making everything about Cena just like this thing with Orton. and, as they do that. the wwe fans are begging for Bryan to get that spot...that is over...

I've gotta see this one... usually when he burying Nash he's quick to point out that Hall "paid his dues." Flair burying Ferrarra and Russo is nothing new, of course 8) Do you remember what the subject of that one was? I love to watch those things.

And don't think WWE doesn't know what it's doing with that, either... holding Bryan down builds the anticipation, making it all the more valuable when they finally let him reach the top of the mountain. It's just a matter of being sure to take the leash off before the buzz dies (a mistake WWE makes all too often... )

How many years has it been? Almost two now and he still has yet to lose support.

Ever heard the phrase "once bitten, twice shy"? WWE put the strap on Bryan once before, and he immediately tanked. His segment ratings went from "pretty good" to "worse than a Diva" overnight. It was pathetic. Everybody gets so upset about the whole 17 second loss to Sheamus, but they don't have a clue. That was a move to save Bryan's WWE run, which had fallen completely apart since he got the strap. Regardless, I don't think Bryan is going to win the Rumble anyway. More likely than Batista, IMO, but still probably a no. His rivalry with Wyatt is heating up, not dying.

Oooooh, yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about, it was the greatest moments one. "Moments that changed wrestling" maybe, something like that. To be honest... Flair is kind of a douche to everybody though.

don't mention the 17 second match. the wounds are still open... It didn't bother me in the slightest. Bryan had faltered, and Sheamus was poised.

I'm more than over it. One could argue it helped Bryan and their 2 out of 3 fall match makes up for it.

I don't care about Sheamus vs. D-Bry, but I understand why many didn't like it. It was a big match, one of the greatest ring workers of all time vs. one of the greatest big men of all time. Only one move in the entire match. It felt like a cop-out.

I'm ready for WWE to do something totally unexpected. I'm not saying that they ever will, just that I think they should. I would LOVE it for the Rumble winner to be someone you don't see coming. Brodus Clay. Dude's career is essentially dead but a while back we were supposed to believe he was a major badass. Or... some random dude from NXT, or something. They can always take away the guy's 'Mania shot in the next 3 months, but imagine if the fans actually embraced it and they did go on to Main Event 'Mania. It couldn't be worse than the Mania matches we've been getting...
