You're crazyman832? I don't remember that invite popping up either but maybe I was in a mission and missed it or something. If I see you next time I'll have to bring you in. Second helped me with some races so I only need 17 more wins for everything to be unlocked, though I love the "gasoline green" color that's only unlocked by getting behind another player's slipstreams so I guess I need to do that 40 more times within these 17 races. See, this is why people farm this crap. I shouldn't have to win 10,000 races and hit 700 slipstreams in order to unlock the specific f***ing shade of green that I want on my f***ing car. PS3 games, let's see...Shadow of the Colossus, Modern Warfare 2, WWE 13, Mortal Kombat, GTA V. Five games sounds about right. I dunno, I have several dozen for the 360 and something like 150 for the PC. Clearly the PS3 is my "niche" system. I have WWE 13, Mortal Kombat, and GTA V online from the games you listed on PS3. I also have NFS: Shift, WWE 12, and Test Drive Unlimited 2 online on PS3 as well. Well when I typed in your name I tried typing it exactly how it's spelled here, unless like I said, I made a misspelling or something, maybe missed a e. But just to be clear, you said your name is exactly how it's spelled on this site, right? I will likely be online again today, but like yesterday, I'm not sure when I'll actually be on GTA. So kinda a bummer we was both on at the same time yesterday and never seen each other. Would of been swell to start them races and get some done with. And yes, I'm crazyman832 (should be that exact spelling) on PSN. Yeah my name is exactly the same as it is here, nothing capitalized or anything. Like I said it's possible that you sent the invite correctly but I didn't see it because I was already deep in a mission or something. I'm sure we'll catch each other at some point. I play invite-only games a lot so I can do missions and raise stats without harassment from strangers and anyone's welcome to join me (I'd think that I'd have to...you know, INVITE people in order for them to join my invite only games but Second Coming has managed to pop in several times before so I dunno). I tried Survival on my own last night. First i tried the Sandy Shores map & reached the 2nd wave, Then the Boneyard map and got raped by the helicopter in the 4th round.... Dude F'N head shot me from the chopper Yep, gotta stay behind that magic trailer thing. You do have to pop out a little but to coax the chopper into following you and making itself vulnerable but in general you still stick to the back corners of that structure. I've got 50 games on PC, about a dozen on Wii, and 20 or so on Xbox. I sold all of my other consoles and games, which I now regret. I would regret that too. I have something like a thousand games across 24 systems, I try not to sell any of my collection because it's kind of like a miniature gaming museum.

You know, I think we are talking about a different type of invite. When I was online I didn't send you a in-game invite, we must of been in different sessions, which makes sense given you play in invite only. What I sent was a PSN friend request invite. Next time you are on, check your PSN message box and see if you have anything from crazyman832. It shouldn't make any difference if you was in a mission or not, you should get PSN messages regardless.

At first I thought you may have been referring to a friend invite but didn't I ask what system you were on a few weeks ago and you reminded me that it was PS3 and that we were already friends there? I hardly ever went online or exchanged messages with anybody until GTA V so I couldn't remember who I had connected with but I could have sworn that you were the one with whom I had this conversation. I didn't actually spot a friend request either, I got one from Soon but didn't see any others. That's fine though, send it again and I should get it. By that time you'll also probably be friends with Mick the rat guy or whomever you sent the first invite to.

Lol yeah I found it and accepted. If you still feel like trading races just let me know and I'll set one up in my game.
So Tom and I are in wave ten of the Boneyard survival mission and we've been doing just fine but then I notice that all the enemies start spawning in on Tom's side on the left. There are simply more enemies than there is time to shoot them all and before long a few of them have come around the wall next to him, where they're really hard to hit. To top it off a chopper starts to zero in on Tom and I've meanwhile got nothing going on over on my side.
So, I decide to hop out from behind the safety of our structure to take some of the enemies out so he can concentrate on getting the ones that are on his side. I pick a few off but the chopper quickly turns and starts firing at me. No problem, I've still got my trusty minigun from an earlier wave so I'll just whip that out and take down the chopper. Left trigger plus left directional pad and boom, I've equipped the...rocket launcher? What the fuck, that's not what I wanted. Okay, chopper is raining down hellfire on me now so I better get back behind the structure before I try to suss out my equipped weapon. Get back behind the structure. Get back behind the structure. Why are you not getting back behind the structure. You're fucking kidding me, the rocket launcher is so big that it prevented me from getting back behind the structure. Boom, dead. Now that I dropped the #^$#% launcher it seems that my corpse sure fits nicely back there.
Tom saved the day though, killing the flanking enemies and taking down the chopper with just a little bit of life just in time to save the whole mission. Meanwhile I'm going to try to avoid ever picking up that stupid rocket launcher again.

Tom saved the day though, killing the flanking enemies and taking down the chopper with just a little bit of life just in time to save the whole mission. Meanwhile I'm going to try to avoid ever picking up that stupid rocket launcher again. Mike, just because you pick up the rocket launcher doesn't mean you are forced to use it. Multiple weapons can be stored in 1 weapons slot, just cycle around to the grenade launcher, or, select a new weapons slot. I never use a rocket launcher cause it's only 1 shot and I can never hit the bloody chopper with it. Though it is good for blasting a pile of cars out of your line of fire, the grenade launcher can do the same while keeping you in cover. I agree the minigun is the best for choppers, but that has the same drawback as the rocket launcher, it's to big to use while in cover. My general plan going in is to pistol the ground troops, at least the early ones, if enemies start getting to tough I might switch to a assault rifle, but in general I want to save my ammo in those. So here is my basic plan. - Pistol enemies as much as possible, or use the shotgun if they get close. - Use Assault to try to clear the shooters out of the choppers. - Clear remaining enemies on ground. - Minigun chopper. The worse thing you can do is use your good weapons early and have nothing powerful left when the choppers fly in.

Btw mike how do you feel I did in the survival? The enemies did catch me in 1 round, but I believe I did well otherwise.

Gotta be honest using the pistol on the first few waves helps is a good tip, the enemies only take one shot to kill, 2 to kill if they are slightly further back. It's been very helpful to me... So thanks for the tip

Your welcome tom, good to hear you find it useful. And yes that hiding spot isn't full proof, but it's the best spot in the game. The coppers constantly move, so while they may hit you once in a while, they should rarely be able to kill you unless your health is already low, especially if your able to take the gunmen out and it's only the pilot/co-pilot left.

Assholes.
So I look a a video online seeing this junker truck you can turn into a hot rod. I drive all the way to the desert, find the truck, drive all the way back, tries to go to the garage, and someone guns me down and plants a bomb on the truck so it blows when I try to get it.
The hell? I never bothered any of those guys. They could've at least let me insure it first.
So I did what I should of done in the first place and started a invite only game. Now I gotta drive back out to the damn desert and find the truck, AGAIN, then bring it back and insure it.

Multiple weapons can be stored in 1 weapons slot, just cycle around to the grenade launcher, or, select a new weapons slot. I know all this but thanks for the advice all the same. My problem wasn't that I felt I had to use the rocket launcher, it's that when I switched over to what I thought would be the minigun I pulled up a rocket instead which I hadn't even realized I'd picked up. By the time I aimed it at the chopper and realized what it was I was already taking heavy fire so the plan was to immediately run back behind cover before and heal up before continuing to screw around with the weapon wheel. What I didn't anticipate was that the damn launcher would block me from getting back there and instead cause me to run in place like an idiot a foot from the entrance. Ahhhh so that's why you just randomly died at the end Indeed, it was too long to explain in a text message.

Ah ok.
Well if you want to do some survivals later, I'll help out. I got 1 spot in my garage and a I need $875,000 to fill it. Yep, I'm going after the Stinger GT. lol Right now, I got like a $100.
We could do some races to, get a bit closer to unlocking some stuff.

Some fun missions today. Found a new great spot that ensures I can still be safe when two other players are behind the trailer in the Boneyard, unlocked most of the remaining car parts and helped you with yours, and picked up some decent RP from doing missions for the NPCs who call you up. In fact I'm trying to remember the name of that one we did yesterday that involved going to the lake and stealing a container with a helicopter- that was a pretty quick mission and earned us like $12,000 bucks. I originally hadn't planned to buy a fancy car (several of the $100,000 - $200,000 dollar cars offer a lesser but similar performance at a quarter of the cost) but the stimulus kicked in and my original plan to buy a chopper fell by the wayside so I decided to save up and buy one. After much deliberation and comparison I determined that handling and acceleration are more important to me than top speed (since I hate races and need a good practical mission car) so I committed to the Entity and I love it. Still pricey though, around the same cost as the Stinger I think. I recommend all car buyers to check this out.

My love for racing has died off a lot now that we earn next to nothing from them. I just want to get upgrade parts unlocked. After that if you want to focus mainly of missions and other stuff, that'll be fine by me then. Like I said over PSN, if we keep up the pace we was at, I should have mot of the stuff unlocked within another day, maybe two. Then all I got to do is figure out those best lap unlockables, and complete stunt jumps, both of those I'm thinking could be done on my own. Of course there is stuff locked behind rank, but you get rank though pretty much anything anyway. btw thanks a lot for helping me out with all this race stuff, especially where you stated above that you hate races.
