Tonight doesn't seem to be mikes night lol. He got so upset earlier he had to take a 5 minute break. Not as surprising as it should be, considering recent events. What exactly happened to push him over the edge?

Lol "considering recent events" aka "expressed his distaste for facebook and became irritated at yet another round of comic book talk".
It wasn't just the glitchiness, everything kept going wrong. I've never been in a session of such complete fail, whether on my end or the game's. The game froze, I accidentally spent $9,000 dollars blowing up Queenz' car, we were all dying left and right because of suspiciously perfect enemy aim (killing us from a thousand feet away while we were in a moving helicopter), mission events weren't triggering properly, we got to the end of a 15 minute job only for me to blow up some important crystal meth without me aiming anywhere near it, armored trucks weren't dropping money after being attacked and triggering an instant 3 star wanted level, cops seemed more aggressive and in one case actually killed me and STILL came after me after I respawned, and on and on and on.
Yesterday was a very strange night, it's like the entire game was confused and angry which in turn made me confused and angry. I wasn't legitimately raging but I had been meaning to grab something to eat and drink and decided after a particularly irritation mission error that it was a good time to take a brief break anyway. Strangely, near the end of the night (after Howard left, though the problems were there before he was) things worked just fine.

I played online a bit last night and I seemed to have ran into a few hostile NPC that were completely invisible.

Everytime someone tries to kill me while I'm shopping, I turn around immediately and blow their head off lol. It's pretty bad when they have the advantage and still get owned.

I played online a bit last night and I seemed to have ran into a few hostile NPC that were completely invisible. Ah, the joys of playing in public lobbies. They really are a microcosm of gamer society. Expect to be stalked and blown up repeatedly by invincible tanks driven by people who refer to you, and themselves, as the N word. You could also play with us, but we spend most of our time doing multitudes of cooperate missions. I'm not sure if you'd enjoy that or not.

Is there some sort of mute everyone forever option? I've got no idea what co-op missions entail. I still don't get what I'm suppose to do online. Last night I just wandered around the underground subway. I played online a bit last night and I seemed to have ran into a few hostile NPC that were completely invisible. Hey, what's your PSN? Last night I just wandered around the underground subway. There are something like 88 co-op missions and they entail everything from stealing vehicles to landing planes to slaughtering dozens of people. All the basic GTA mainstay gameplay mechanics are covered. We do them because we find them fun and enjoy racking up cash and levels. I dunno, you might find that it gives you some structure but you might also become bored with our organized playstyle. And yeah, there's supposed to be some option in your online menu that only allows friends' voices to come through, but like all games it doesn't work at all. The only way I'm aware of to turn off people who mumble incoherently and rap at you is to literally go into the game's player menu and turn them off, one by one, every time you enter a session.

As long as there isn't any sort of level requirement, I could check out some missions with you guys. My character doesn't have much unlocked though. Don't know if that's going to be a problem.

If you join a mission someone else started that you haven't unlocked, you can still do it. Guns can be retained between missions... SOMETIMES.

To mute people, when you enter a session hold select, look through the menu that pops up for your mic/voice options, and switch it to either friends or no one. It works but only effects that session, if you join a new one you need t do it against.
Rooftop Rumble is still screwed when playing by yourself. So I been doing Potshots again for money, pretty quick money. I spent half my time on my laptop and still got like a 100k in like a few hours. The mission is only like 5 minutes or so, one of the shortest in the game by far and offers up $10,500 every time. I'm starting to wonder if we properly grind this, no laptop breaks, etc, if we wouldn't make more money on this then on Rooftop...
Mike do you have a stop watch? Some day we got to time Potshot against Rooftop and see which really is better. Cause both are fast money.

Potshot gives you $10,000 now? Wow, it used to only give you like 6 or 7. Nice. It's short, but I'd gamble that Rooftop is still just as short (perhaps even shorter) because with Potshot you do have that little drive and wait at the beginning. After the van is retrieved though I'd bet that it's about the same amount of time as getting to the goal in Rooftop. What bullshit that it's messed up in single player now, though. What the hell is with these random glitches all of a sudden? My favorite's got to be how cocaine is deposited and then IMMEDIATELY destroyed, by some unseen force, halfway across the map before we can retrieve it. Maybe there's some kind of really proactive anti-drug NPC coalition in the game now. And your "rival" delivers the briefcase in Rooftop? What fucking rival?
Anyway Brian he's right, as long as someone of higher level is setting up the mission you can be invited in to anything. In fact that's how some of us have helped each other gain levels and cash much faster. Lower level missions give you like $1500 dollars and 500 RP (reputation points, the game's experience system) whereas the top missions give you $18,000 dollars and 5,000 RP a pop. You start the game struggling to afford anything, at this point I have over four million. I can add you so if you ever see me playing and want to join just ask on PSN and I'll invite you in. Your inexperience won't be too much of an issue, you just have to play sensibly like allowing us to get into positions before you start firing and don't do reckless stuff like run us over, lol.
