Appears the 1.12 update is out, and it's a dozy.

My short list from it.

- Supposedly fixed payouts for races, deathmatches, and capture.
- A lot of glitch/exploit fixes.
- No more dubed car tricks.
- New ability for Lester.
- Fixed online problems where game would hang up.
- Fixed menu issues.

Technical fixes are really good, and I wouldn't mind making more than 79 cents for races. Never happy to hear about dupe and exploit fixes but I guess my character is rich and has everything he needs so it's not really a big deal. Understandable too.

Being able to call away the cops sounds like it could come in handy, depending on how long it is and how much it costs.

Hey, I like the addition of moving the job selection screen forward once a selection gets a majority vote. Took long enough, it never made sense to me that we always had to wait for a unanimous vote or the timer countdown.

"Fixed an issue where if a player drank Whisky in their apartment until they passed out, this could cause a clone to appear who would then attack them." Ha!

"Fixed an issue where players were able to render themselves and the car they were driving invisible to grief other players.". Very good. Next fix tanks.

"Fixed an issue where players could be taken to the wrong session or job after the Next Job Voting Screen." Nice.

..."Fixed an issue where armored trucks could continually spawn". Dammit!

Made a new swamp race on my second profile. Wet - Muddy. Classes are.

Utility - You get the Fieldmaster, it's the only thing any good. The tractor is fantastic for deep waters, but will have you taking detours on the hilly spots.

Off Road (minus bikes) - I removed bikes cause (1) they are unlikely to get though the track and (2) if they can, they are cheap. No other off road car can match a dirt bike. So I took them out. Overall this class seems the best, can handle water and hills alike.

Sports - Should be limited to Comet, Sultan and Elegy I think, 2 of which cars are all wheel drive. But even with all wheel drive these cars simply can't take the track as intended, they won't make the water passing's. lol But with a lot of detouring and sticking to shallows, it's possible.

Sports Classic - I'm lost as to why I put this class in. I really am. Maybe I thought the Rat Loader was here, but that's counted as muscle isn't it?

SUV's - Many of these are big 4X4 so they should be similar to the off road trucks.

Vans - What? They are big at least....


I knows at least mike played my first swamp race. Yep, this ones harder. lol

lol I went to th strip club and got my newest girl a girlfriend. I can call Nikki to my apartment for lap dances. Hot lesbian action at J's apartment!! XD

I didn't even realize that a female character could get lapdances and date the strippers. Don't know why, I guess it just never occurred to me because my character is more or less me.

I really need to figure something out with this fucking PS3 controller cord. I can snap it into the controller but I never have any idea of it's actually charging or not. It doesn't feel loose but apparently it's a crappy connection, I can bring up the menu to see whether it's charging (it usually isn't) and when it actually IS, I have to be super delicate about putting the controller down so it doesn't dislodge. I'm getting sick of leaving it charging for three hours only to be told in my next game that it's almost dead.

Have you tried another controller to confirm it's 100% the cord and not the controller itself?

To me it sounds like there is a break in the cord. Do you keep your cords straight or in a gradual loop? You don't wind them up do you?


In the strip club the dances last a few minutes and you can do the whole feel the dancer thing. I had to do 2 dances to fill the strippers like meter. There is no body guard online, at least for a female character anyway. The apartment dances I don't think I went though a full one. I got a quick dance, got high, got another quick dance and went into Capture Creator. lol

Yesterday I brought another Buzzard. I was going to buy a Enity, but I had 1.5mill and having a Buzzard makes a lot of jobs easier. So I put the super cars on delay for a bit. I'll make the money back fast though and finally get buy more cars. lol

Mike remember back when you got the hacked money and was stinking rich, you would mod cars for me and others to sell and make a quick 100g's. Well, I seen a topic on GF's GTA Online forum saying you can no longer do this. Apparently if you modded a car, gave it to me and I tried entering LSC. It should tell me something like "this car has been modified by another player" and won't let me enter.

Wow, that's such bullshit. A player should be able to buy a car for another, or even just stick a mod on it and let the player have it. It's nice that they made a great game and have adjusted things to make it even better but what would be really nice is if they fixed the legitimate issues that the game still has and quit being so single-mindedly obsessed about players doing things that took away from their precious money system. The only reason I can think why they'd be upset about someone giving away a modded car is because it could potentially cost them one of those bullshit paid GTA cash cards that they want people to buy with real money. Just an update or two ago they flat-out removed the ability to share job money at all (not that it worked anyway since all you could do it for was holdups).

Constantly trimming away features that let players share. That's such petty, greedy crap.

Yeah people have been joking about that for a while now. I remember when the first updates came out and they had revised things like the ability to steal cars, players' money, etc. A lot of people on the forum pointed out that for a series that's all about violence, havoc, murder and theft the structure of the online game is strangely balanced towards courtesy.

I guess there are some people that want total anarchy- if a player earns $100,000 bucks and is stupid enough to run around with it in his pocket, players should be able to kill him and steal every dime. If a player spends a million dollars on his car and gets shot while driving it, another player should be able to drive away in it and keep it. I personally don't want that, I think that it's already hard to get people to play the game cooperatively and this would just make things even worse. Without rules and precedents there'd be spammers, glitchers and griefers exploiting every possible shortcut and maximizing their gain while making the game completely unplayable to the people who aren't as experienced. An online game just can't work that way, even if it's called "Grand Theft Auto".

That said, I really see no good reason why players can't give something away if it's theirs and that's what they choose to do.

Could it just be a thing where the game just doesn't recognize it as the car being given away, instead of being stolen, and just blocks all forms of transfership of possession as theft protection?

The thing is, you can put tracker and insurance on your cars. If you don't use them, the car in no way should be registered to be and should be able to be given away, stolen, or sold. It should only prevent other players if you insure your car, which was how it worked before.

The only thing I worry about is that their drive to sell more shark cards by limiting quick money online any way they can, is that ultimately it's just gonna kill online.

After all what's more likely. They sell more shark cards or people just gets fed up and stops playing?

Now I tried it and it didn't work, it loaded me into online rather then story. So I'm not sure if I did something wrong or if update 1.12 patched it. But I figure it's still worth having a second guy try it out. If we can own our own Cargobob it can hopefully help greatly in stuff like American Exports.

Imagine not having to go to the army base and deal with 4 star cops to get a Cargo. Would be pretty great.
